Por FactBox Admin

The Córdoba City Council has consolidated five first-class mechanics as career civil servants on its staff, definitively stabilizing positions in the municipal maintenance service and vehicle fleet. The appointment, adopted by Decree No. 2026/08944, of May 26, is published in Official Bulletin of the Province of Córdoba number 157, of August 14, 2026, page 12406, with official reference BOP-A-2026-2779.
The resolution has been issued by the Deputy Mayor responsible for Human Resources and Occupational Health, Management, Health and Consumer Affairs and Youth, Cintia Bustos Muñoz, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by the Mayor’s Office in accordance with article 124 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Government, as worded by Law 57/2003, of December 16, on Measures for the Modernization of Local Government. The powers were delegated by Mayoral Decree No. 8377, of June 17, 2023, and Agreement of the Local Government Board No. 602/2023, of June 26.
The five consolidated first-class officers
With publication in the provincial bulletin, the position of First-Class Mechanic is now definitively filled by five civil servants who take up the post as career staff:
- Roberto Salado Moya
- Antonio Arribas Jiménez
- Óscar Díaz Fernández
- David Ortega Díaz
- Juan Carlos Lara Lleras
Legal framework for the publication
The dissemination of the agreement is carried out in compliance with article 25 of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, approving the General Regulations on Entry of Personnel into the Service of the General State Administration and on Provision of Jobs and Professional Promotion of Civil Servants of the General State Administration. In this way, the administrative act acquires official publicity, a necessary requirement for the appointment to take full effect and for interested parties to exercise the appeals they deem appropriate.
The document, electronically signed in Córdoba on July 22, 2026, includes the Secure Verification Code (CSV) 311CE56A9FF6B1656079, which allows its authenticity and integrity to be verified on the electronic site of the bulletin.
Stability of the municipal staff
The appointment of these five staff members reduces temporary employment in the maintenance area of the City Council, where mechanical officers are responsible for the repair and maintenance of municipal vehicles and machinery. With consolidation as career civil servants, workers gain access to a stable position, with the guarantees inherent to public employment: a regulated provision system, career rights and protection against discretionary dismissal.
For readers, the news is relevant because it directly affects the quality and continuity of essential municipal services, from street cleaning to public works, all of which depend on the good condition of the vehicle fleet. The consolidation of staff also reinforces the council’s commitment to the stability of public employment and the professionalization of its technical services, in line with the stabilization processes promoted by local administrations in recent years.
