Córdoba approves extraordinary credits for commerce and youth

The Plenary Council of Córdoba has finalized the approval of two extraordinary credits from the 2026 municipal budget, in the amounts of 65,000 and 70,000 euros, destined for the Trade Federation and youth agreements. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, number 167, dated August 28, 2026, via the edict with reference BOP-A-2026-2977.

The agreements were adopted in a plenary session held on July 23, 2026, and were subject to public exhibition between July 30 and August 20, during which no claims were filed. Therefore, they are made final in accordance with articles 177.2 and 179.4, in relation to 169, of the Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, the consolidated text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries.

Extraordinary credit for trade

Agreement No. 180/26 grants an extraordinary credit of 65,000 euros in favor of the Córdoba Trade Federation (CIF G14024541), for commercial promotion and revitalization, with advance payment. The allocation is financed through a reduction by annulment of an equal amount in the management, equipment, and security application.

Extraordinary credit for youth

Agreement No. 179/26 grants an extraordinary credit of 70,000 euros for collaboration agreements of the Youth Department, distributed among three entities:

• Taleñt Association (CIF G87141099): 50,000 euros, for the Sondersland Córdoba project.
• AJE Association (CIF G14364475): 15,000 euros, for the support and promotion of self-employment and youth entrepreneurship.
• F.A.R.O. Association (CIF G44918365): 5,000 euros, for the “Colonias Torrox 2026” project.

The agreement also adjusts the Strategic Grant Plan, reducing the call for employability promotion grants from 80,000 to 60,000 euros to incorporate the new agreements.

Credit supplement for the zoo

The same edict includes Agreement No. 178/26, which approves a credit supplement of 61,500 euros for the municipal zoo, divided between animal maintenance (42,000 euros) and technical studies and works (19,500 euros), financed by reductions by annulment in the Environment area.

The edict, signed on August 24, 2026, by the Delegate for Finance, Economy, and Employment, Blanca Torrent Cruz, and the General Secretary of the Plenary, María del Carmen Parra Fontalva, reminds interested parties that they may file a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Andalusia in Seville starting from the day following its publication.

The final approval of these credits guarantees the funding of commercial revitalization programs and youth employment and entrepreneurship in the city, as well as the maintenance of zoo services, in a fiscal year in which the City Council is reorganizing its budget allocations to address these priorities.
