Córdoba opens grants for outdoor cinema in summer

The Córdoba City Council has opened the general call for applications under a competitive bidding process for the implementation of outdoor cinema screening programs during 2026, with a total allocation of 100,000 euros and a maximum of 30,000 euros per project. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 164, dated August 25, 2026, via the extract of Decree No. 14323/26 (reference BOP-A-2026-2955).

The measure originates from the Deputy Mayor for Culture and Historical Heritage, Isabel Albás Vives, who signed the decree on August 20, 2026. The extract is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS, identifier 925862).

Purpose and Beneficiaries

The call regulates the regime and procedure for granting subsidies, through competitive bidding, to entities whose purpose is the implementation, within the municipality of Córdoba, of a program of outdoor cinema screenings during the period between June 15 and October 15, 2026.

The following may be beneficiaries:

• Foundations, neighborhood associations or associations of any other nature, and other non-profit entities.
• Natural persons who are professionals registered under the special regime for self-employed workers (RETA) as of the date the application submission deadline ends.
• For-profit legal entities that carry out an economic or business activity related to the purpose of the call.

Amount and Evaluation Criteria

The amount of each subsidy is determined by the number of points obtained in the project evaluation, according to the scale in the eleventh base. The amount results from multiplying the points obtained by the economic value of one point, which is calculated by dividing 100,000 euros by the sum of points of all evaluated projects.

However, a maximum amount of 30,000 euros per project is established, or the amount indicated in the application if it is lower than the result of the evaluation.

Deadline and Submission

The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba. If the last day is a non-working day, it will be extended to the first following business day, in accordance with article 30.5 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The consultation of the guidelines and the submission of applications shall be carried out by electronic means, through the General Electronic Registry, accessible from the electronic office https://sede.cordoba.es/cordoba, or through other electronic registries provided for in article 16.4.a of the aforementioned law.

The call for applications represents an opportunity for associations, freelancers, and cultural companies in the city, who may finance open-air cinema cycles during the summer and autumn. With a budget of 100,000 euros and a cap of 30,000 per project, the City Council seeks to revitalize the municipal cultural offering and support the associative and business fabric of the Cordoban audiovisual sector.
