Córdoba opens the period for selling chestnuts and roasted corn

The Trade Delegation of the Most Excellent City Council of Córdoba has announced the opening of the application period for the granting of authorizations for the sale of chestnuts and/or roasted corn cobs for the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years. Interested parties will have twenty calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, published in issue number 164, dated August 25, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-2919, file PCTM 6625_GE01_2026_01051).

The call is governed by the Eleventh Base of the Regulatory Bases for the Granting of Sales Authorizations for the different modalities of Seasonal Trade for the years 2024 to 2027, approved by Decree No. 2023/13175, dated October 11, and modified by Decrees No. 2024/8415 and No. 2025/09547. The announcement was signed in Córdoba on August 17, 2026, by the Delegate Councilor for Trade, Julián Urbano de Sotomayor.

Locations and characteristics of the stalls

A total of 10 authorizations will be granted, distributed across fixed or mobile locations with determined maximum dimensions. Applications must indicate one of the listed locations; requests for sites or characteristics other than those detailed will not be accepted:

  • Avenida Equipo Piconeros, corner of Pasaje with Avda. (fixed or mobile, 1x1).
  • Plaza de Colón, opposite calle Osario (mobile, 4x2).
  • Calle Santa María de Trassierra, corner of calle Músico Tomás Luis de Victoria (mobile, 1x0.5).
  • Avenida Almogávares, opposite the ice cream parlor (fixed or mobile, 1.5x1).
  • Avenida Virgen de Fátima, corner of calle Arcos de la Frontera (fixed or mobile, 1.5x1).
  • Avenida Fray Albino, behind the Torre de la Calahorra (fixed or mobile, 2x2).
  • Bulevar del Gran Capitán, corner of Avenida Ronda de los Tejares (fixed or mobile, 1.5x1.5).
  • Avda. Libia, corner of Avda. Virgen Milagrosa (fixed or mobile, 2x2).
  • Avda. Doctor Fleming, opposite the former Municipal Market (fixed or mobile, 2x2).
  • Calle del Deporte, corner of calle Las Lomas (mobile, 2x2).

Installations must be placed without hindering the passage of pedestrians, road traffic, or emergency vehicles.

Required documentation

Applications, according to the attached model, must be registered accompanied by the required documentation, which includes a photocopy of the DNI or CIF, certificates of registration and being up to date with the I.A.E. (Economic Activities Tax) and Social Security, as well as a current Civil Liability insurance policy for a minimum amount of 150,000.00 euros. Documents relating to I.A.E., Social Security, insurance, residence and work, food handler training, and specific regulations may be replaced by a Responsible Declaration signed by the interested party.

Providers from third countries must prove compliance with legislation regarding residence and work authorizations, and those handling food for human consumption must hold a food handler training certificate issued no more than 6 years ago. Two photographs of the installation from different angles and the completed self-assessment sheet are also required.

Submission and Validity

Applications may be submitted at the locations established in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. If submitted at a registration office other than that of the Córdoba City Council, the submission must be communicated before the deadline expires to the address comercioyventaambulante@ayuncordoba.es.

Authorizations will be granted for the years 2026 and 2027, valid from October 10 to January 10 of each year, both inclusive, without prejudice to the requirement to annually prove compliance with the requirements for exercising the activity.

The call directly affects street vendors and seasonal trade in the city, a traditional sector linked to the Cordoban autumn and winter. With a limited quota of ten stalls and strict documentation and location requirements, interested parties must submit their application within the period of twenty calendar days to ensure their participation in the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
