Cádiz announces 34 municipal vacancies and opens the correction period

The Cádiz City Council has approved the provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants, the composition of the selection boards, and the dates for the exercises of seven selection processes totaling 34 municipal positions. The resolution is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 209, dated October 29, 2026, under announcement No. 374.778, and opens a period of ten business days for interested parties to rectify the defects that led to their exclusion.

The announcement is issued under the decrees of the Deputy Mayor Delegated for Public Service numbers 2026/4121, 2026/4122, 2026/4123, 2026/4124, 2026/4125, 2026/4126, and 2026/4127, all dated October 23, 2026. The publication is carried out for the purposes provided for in article 44.2 of Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, which approves the Regulation of Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities, and is signed in Cádiz, on October 23, 2026, by Marina del Pilar Jiménez Rivas, Director of the Personnel Area, by delegation of the Secretary General.

Seven selection processes and 34 positions

The called positions are divided among seven processes, with public employment offers (OEP) from different years:

• 18 positions for Local Police, OEP 2025 and 2026.
• 4 positions for Local Police via the mobility system without promotion, OEP 2025 and 2026.
• 2 positions for Local Police with reserved access for professional military personnel (troops and sailors), OEP 2025 and 2026.
• 4 positions for Social Worker, OEP 2024, 2025, and 2026.
• 2 positions for Legal Counsel, OEP 2021.
• 2 positions for Social Educator, OEP 2025 and 2026.
• 2 positions for Sports Facilities Technician, OEP 2026.

The Local Police concentrate 24 of the 34 positions, while the remaining ten correspond to technical and social service categories, including a call for Legal Counsel stemming from a 2021 public employment offer.

Ten business days to rectify

The deadline for submitting rectifications is ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz. The documentation for each process can be consulted at:

• The municipal website, at the address http://www.cadiz.es, by accessing the selection processes icon.
• The physical and virtual notice board of the Cádiz City Council, at Plaza de San Juan de Dios, s/n.

The provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants, the composition of the boards, and the calendar of exercises are displayed through these same channels, so that applicants can verify their status before the deadline begins to run.

Boards and calendar of exercises

Along with the provisional lists, the decrees approve the composition of the selection boards for each of the seven processes and set the dates for the examinations. The announcement in the provincial bulletin does not detail the names of the board members or the specific dates, which are referred to for consultation on the municipal website and on the notice board of the Cádiz City Council.

The approval of the provisional lists does not close the process: following the correction period, the City Council must resolve the submitted allegations and approve the final lists before the exams are held, in accordance with the usual development of selection calls.

The calendar affects 34 positions within the municipal staff and the hundreds of applicants who have submitted applications for any of the seven calls. For those who have been left off the provisional lists, the ten-business-day period is the only way to correct formal errors or clarify documentation already submitted; once that term has passed without correction, the exclusion becomes final and the applicant is removed from the selection process.
