Por FactBox Admin

The Electoral Census Office of Cáceres has published the list of districts, sections, polling stations, and electoral venues that will be used in the elections for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate on Sunday, November 29. The announcement, signed by the provincial delegate Ramón García Gómez, appears in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres dated October 12, 2026, with reference BOP-2026-4767. The annex details, municipality by municipality, the assigned voting venue and its full address.
The announcement is issued in accordance with Article 24 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime, a regulation that empowers the provincial delegations of the National Statistics Institute to determine the number and boundaries of electoral sections, their venues, and the corresponding polling stations, after consulting the city councils. The document is dated in Cáceres on October 7, 2026, and signed by Ramón García Gómez as the provincial delegate of the INE and the Electoral Census Office, and is inserted in Section III - State Administration of the provincial gazette.
The publication arrives about six weeks before the election date and makes the annex the official reference for voters in the province to verify where they are assigned to vote. The table is organized by municipality, district, section, subsection, polling station, identifying letters, venue name, and address with postal code.
An annex with municipality, section, polling station, and venue
The list covers all municipalities in the province, from regional capitals to the smallest entities, and includes localities incorporated in recent years, such as Rosalejo, Vegaviana, Alagón del Río, Tiétar, and Pueblonuevo de Miramontes. Each row identifies the polling station with a letter code: AZ when the municipality has a single polling station, and pairs such as AK and LZ when there are two.
In municipalities with several polling stations, the annex also establishes numbered subsections, as is the case in Caminomorisco, Campo Lugar, Gata, Guijo de Galisteo, Miajadas, Nuñomoral, Talayuela, Torrejoncillo, Plasencia, and Valencia de Alcántara.
Large municipalities concentrate the districts
- Cáceres: 7 electoral districts, with venues such as the Provincial Council (Plaza de Santa María 4), IFECA (Avenida de Portugal 9), or the Police and Traffic Center (Avenida Juan Pablo II 2).
- Plasencia: 5 districts, with schools such as Ramón y Cajal, Alfonso VIII, Miralvalle, Inés de Suárez, La Data, and El Pilar.
- Coria: 4 districts, with the Municipal House of Culture, the Virgen de Argeme School, the Zurbarán Public School, and the IES Alagón.
- Trujillo: 4 districts, with the Aspiam Building, the Schools on Avenida Ramón y Cajal, and the House of Culture.
- Miajadas, Arroyo de la Luz, Valencia de Alcántara, and Casar de Cáceres: 3 districts each.

From houses of culture to pavilions and institutes
Voting venues combine municipal offices, educational centers, and sports facilities. In small municipalities, the polling station is usually set up in the town hall, the house of culture, or the medical clinic; in cities, schools, institutes, and multi-sports pavilions are used.
- Abadía: House of Culture (Travesía Juan Carlos I).
- Acebo: Town Hall (Plaza Mayor 1).
- Abertura: Senior Citizens’ Home (Plaza España 12).
- Aldeacentenera: “Pablo Iglesias” Cultural and Social Center (Calle Pizarro 11).
- Hervás: IES Valle del Ambroz (Calle Braulio Navas 20).
- Jarandilla de la Vera: House of Culture and Town Hall (Plaza Constitución 1).
- Zorita: C.E.I.P. Ntra. Sra. de Fuente Santa (Calle Ánimas).

With this publication, voters in the province now have the official information to locate their polling station before November 29. The annex also establishes the boundaries of the sections and subsections created in municipalities with several polling stations, so it is advisable to check the assigned section and venue before heading to the polls.
