Cáceres publica la lista provisional de candidatos a jurado del bienio 2027-2028

The Provincial Court of Cáceres has made public the provisional list of jury candidates for the province for the 2027-2028 biennium, consisting of nearly 600 people chosen by lottery. The edict is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0199, corresponding to Friday, October 16, 2026, within Section IV (Administration of Justice), with the official reference BOP-2026-4866. Those appearing on the list have from November 1 to 15 to file a claim.

A lottery held on September 21

The list results from the lottery verified on September 21, 2026, at the headquarters of the Provincial Court of Cáceres, as stated in the edict itself, issued by the General Common Service of Cáceres. The publication is carried out for the purposes of Article 14 of the Organic Law 5/1995, of May 22, of the Jury Court, and the list is displayed during the last fifteen days of this month of October.

The document, spanning 25 pages (from 23671 to 23695), was signed in Cáceres on September 30, 2026, by the president of the Provincial Court, Valentín Pérez Aparicio, and by the lawyer of the Administration of Justice, María Jesús Suárez Quevedo. Each candidate is listed with their order number, first and second surname, first name, and partially hidden ID number (DNI), grouped by municipality. The edict specifies that the publication serves as notification to the candidates throughout the province.

Cáceres and Plasencia concentrate the highest number of candidates

The list covers nearly 170 municipalities in the province, from Abadía, Acehúche, or Alcuéscar to Zorita, Rosalejo, or Pueblonuevo de Miramontes. The blocks with the most candidates are:

  • Cáceres: around 147 people.
  • Plasencia: around 61.
  • Navalmoral de la Mata: about 23.
  • Coria: nearly 19.
  • Trujillo and Miajadas: about 14 each.
  • Moraleja: around 10.
  • Montehermoso and Arroyo de la Luz: about 9 each.

How and where to file a claim

Members of the list may file a claim if they believe they lack the requirements established in Article 8 of Organic Law 5/1995 or have a cause for incapacity, incompatibility, or excuse. The period extends from November 1 to 15, 2026.

The designated information point is:

  • Jury Court Office, Provincial Court of Cáceres.
  • Address: Avenida de la Hispanidad, s/n, 2nd floor, 10071 Cáceres.
  • Telephone: 927 620 188.
  • Email: ap.presidencia.caceres@justicia.es.

A procedure with effects on the 2027-2028 biennium

The publication of the provisional list opens the period during which the included citizens may correct errors or appeal their exclusion before the final list is approved. Those who do not file a claim within the deadline will be included in that final list, which will serve as the basis for the appointment of jurors in trials with a jury court held in the province during 2027 and 2028.

The edict emphasizes that the notification is addressed to the jury candidates of the province and that the list is published for their due knowledge, so that any affected person may verify their inclusion and, if applicable, exercise their right to claim within the established period.
