Cáceres approves its 2026 Public Employment Offer with 17 positions
Por FactBox Admin

The Cáceres City Council has approved its Public Employment Offer (OPE) for 2026, with a total of 17 civil servant positions divided between open competition, internal promotion, disability, and mobility. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Presidency Resolution number 2026006563, dated August 12, 2026, and has been published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 162, dated August 21, 2026.
The announcement, signed on August 13, 2026, by Secretary Fidela Romero Díaz, orders the publication of the offer “for the appropriate purposes” and opens the period for interested parties to learn about the called positions. The resolution is final and exhausts the administrative route.
Open Competition Positions
The bulk of the offer is concentrated in the open competition, with 10 positions divided between technical and administrative profiles, all of which are general access:
- Technical Architect (subgroup A2): 1 position.
- Social Educator (subgroup A2): 1 position.
- IT Technician (subgroup A2): 1 position.
- Higher Level Occupational Risk Prevention Technician (subgroup A2): 1 position.
- Social Worker (subgroup A2): 1 position.
- Draftsman/woman (subgroup C1): 1 position.
- General Administration Assistant (subgroup C2): 4 positions.
Internal Promotion, Disability, and Mobility
In addition to the open competition, the OPE reserves positions for other groups and access routes:
- Internal Promotion: Local Police Sub-inspector (A2, 1 position) and Administrative Assistant (C1, 1 position).
- Disability: Social Worker (A2, 1 position).
- Mobility: Local Police Officer (C1, 4 positions).
Appeals and Deadlines
As this is a final resolution that exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may optionally file a request for reconsideration (recurso de reposición) before the same body within one month. Alternatively, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.
The publication of this OPE represents a significant opportunity for candidates in the province, as it combines highly demanded technical profiles—such as architect, IT specialist, or social worker—with general access positions in administrative assistance and local police. Interested parties should stay tuned for the upcoming specific bases of each selection process, which will detail requirements, syllabi, and the examination schedule.
