Burriana and Chilches publish final lists for public employment processes

Two municipalities in the province of Castellón publish today in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón key resolutions for two public employment selection processes. The Burriana/Borriana City Council closes the applicant admission phase to fill three psychologist positions, while the Chilches/Xilxes City Council rectifies the composition of its assessment board due to non-compliance with the principle of gender parity in a process for four cleaning worker positions.

Burriana: psychologist competitive examinations with 49 applicants in the running

Decree 2026-3232, of 5 August 2026, issued by the Mayor of Burriana, Jorge Monferrer Daudí, approves the final list of admitted and excluded applicants in the selection procedure for the permanent provision of three psychologist positions (file 7903/2025). The application submission period ended on 21 November 2025, and the governing rules were published in Official Gazette No. 93, of 5 August 2025.

Of the total applications submitted, 49 applicants remain in the running: 48 in the free-access track and one in the internal promotion track. The selection system is a competitive examination, regulated by Decree 3/2017, of 13 January, of the Consell, which approves the Regulation on Selection, Provision of Work Positions and Mobility of Valencian Public Function personnel.

The board and the test schedule

The Decree designates the Technical Selection Body, chaired by Ana Vicent Gil, psychologist at the City Council, with Iluminada Blay Fornas, Secretary General, as secretary. The board will be constituted remotely on 30 September 2026 and will meet on 8 October in the municipal Board Room. On that same day, at 12:00 noon, the first exercise will be held at the Llar fallera (Plaza de l’Estacioneta, 4, Burriana). Following the draw held on 12 January 2026 at the Directorate General for Civil Service, the tests will begin with the letter P (DOGV 10289, of 27/01/2026).

Chilches/Xilxes: rectification of the board due to gender parity

The Chilches/Xilxes City Council publishes Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-1216, of 6 August 2026, signed by the Mayor Ismael Minguet Teresa, which corrects a material error in the composition of the assessment board for the selection process for four cleaning worker positions (labour staff, file 1106/2025). The error was detected after Resolution 2026-1179, of 28 July 2026, and consisted of a failure to comply with the principle of balanced presence of women and men on selection bodies, in accordance with the Consolidated Text of the Law on the Basic Statute of Public Employees.

The new board is chaired by M.ª Vicenta Ripollés Valls, cleaning staff at the City Council itself, and includes members from Chilches/Xilxes and the Vall d’Uixó City Council, now complying with the required parity. The test advisor is Javier Sansaloni Talens.

Date of the first exercise

The first exercise will be held on 14 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Municipal Theatre of Chilches/Xilxes, and applicants must bring identification documents. The corrected board replaces the one originally appointed in Resolution 2026-1179, without the remaining provisions of said resolution being affected.

Relevance for applicants

Both resolutions open the door to the testing phase of processes affecting dozens of people in the province of Castellón. In Burriana, applicants for the psychologist positions should keep an eye on the schedule set for October; in Chilches/Xilxes, the 29 admitted to the cleaning process must appear on 14 September. Interested parties may file an optional motion for reconsideration or an administrative contentious appeal against the resolutions.
