Burela opens a 37,000 euro call for applications for federated sports clubs

The Burela City Council has opened the call for grants aimed at promoting the activities of sports clubs and entities in the municipality, with a budget of 37,000.00 euros. The extract was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 246, on October 27, 2026, under reference R. 2907 and with the National Grants Database (BDNS) identifier 936552. The call is directed at the local federated sports fabric, which will have 20 calendar days to submit applications.

A line of aid for local federated sports

The call establishes the criteria and procedures for granting aid, during the 2026 financial year, aimed at promoting activities of associations, clubs, or sports entities in the municipality of Burela. The objective is, therefore, to finance the ordinary activity and initiatives of the entities that support grassroots and competitive sports in the municipality.

The publication of the extract is carried out under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general grants law. Requirements: federated clubs based in Burela

Federated sports clubs existing in the municipality of Burela that meet the following conditions may apply for these grants:

• Be legally constituted.
• Be registered in the Municipal Registry of associations.
• Have a registered office and territorial headquarters in the municipality of Burela.
• Have registration data duly updated at the time of applying for the aid.

These requirements limit the call to entities with effective roots in the municipality, so that the grants are reserved for the local sports movement and not for clubs from other municipalities that compete or operate in Burela facilities.

2027 Credit and twenty calendar day deadline

The call is processed through the early processing modality. Therefore, the authorization of expenditure is subject to the credit authorized for the year 2027 in the aforementioned financial year, in accordance with article 174.1 of Legislative Royal Decree 2/2004, which approves the revised text of the Law regulating local finances. The expenditure commitment, already adopted, is thus conditioned on the budgetary allocation of the next financial year.

The deadline for submitting applications is 20 calendar days counted from the publication of the announcement of the bases in the Official Gazette of the Province. The announcement is dated in Burela on October 20, 2026, and is signed by the mayor, María del Carmen López Moreno.

Impact for local sports

The amount of 37,000 euros represents one of the main economic supports available to the federated clubs of Burela to cover seasons, travel, licenses, and equipment. With the deadline open and the guidelines already published, interested entities must provide proof of their updated registry registration and formalize the application electronically before the twenty calendar days expire.
