Briviesca publishes the final list for three taxi licenses

The Briviesca City Council has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants in the public competition for the awarding of three vacant municipal taxi licenses, corresponding to numbers 1, 5, and 11. The resolution, adopted by the Mayor’s Office on August 27, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 170, dated September 8, 2026, with reference BOPBUR-2026-03713 and file 927/2026.

The procedure is framed within the regulatory bases approved by Mayor’s resolution no. 2026-0899, dated May 27, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 105, dated June 3, 2026. The competition seeks to fill three taxi positions that remained vacant within the municipal district, a process that affects both the applicants and the provision of the local taxi service.

Definitely admitted applicants

The final list of admitted applicants consists of two natural persons, who have proven the requirements demanded in the bases:

• Díaz Vesga, Ángel (NIF *0549), entry registry no. 2947, dated June 12, 2026.
• Chrif, Omar (NIF *3858), entry registry no. 3046, dated June 18, 2026.

Exclusion of a company

The excluded section lists Autofergo, S.A. (NIF A09050196). The cause for exclusion is that, by virtue of the third clause of the regulatory bases, only natural persons may submit an application, a condition that a commercial company does not meet. The allegation presented by the entity was dismissed by Mayor’s resolution on August 27, 2026.

Appeals against the resolution

The resolution concludes the administrative process. Against it, interested parties may alternatively file:

• An optional appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the mayor, within one month from the day following the notification, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.
• A contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance, within two months, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, of the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

If the appeal for reversal is chosen, the contentious-administrative appeal cannot be filed until the former is expressly resolved or is understood to be dismissed by silence. The document appears signed in Briviesca on August 27, 2026, by the mayor, José Solas Martínez.

The publication of this final list brings the process to its final phase: with two admitted candidates for three licenses, the filling of the vacant positions will depend on the development of the competition and the eventual resolution of any appeals.
