Bormujos announces two electrician positions through competitive examination.

The Bormujos City Council (Seville) has announced the selection process to fill, on a permanent basis, as fixed labor personnel, two positions of First Official Electrician, through the system of open competitive examination. The call, approved by Resolution number 2026-2284, of August 3, 2026, of the Delegated Councilorship for Human Resources, Employment and Training, is published in Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville number 156, of August 13, 2026, with reference BOP-SE-2026-156004.
The two positions, classified in group C, subgroup C1, are included in the public employment offers for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, approved by Resolutions 1543/2024, of June 26, and 3529/2025, of December 22, of the Delegated Councilorship for Human Resources. The announcement is signed by the mayoress-president, María Dolores Romero López, and is accompanied by the complete rules of the procedure, which will be governed, on a supplementary basis, by the consolidated text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees and the civil service regulations applicable to Local Administration. The call expressly includes the principle of equal treatment between men and women in access to employment.
Deadline and submission of applications
Applications may be submitted within twenty business days counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Bulletin, electronically or by any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015. Online submission is done through the City Council’s virtual office (bormujos.sedelectronica.es), where the call appears as a highlighted procedure.
- Required qualification: Technician (Intermediate Degree) in Electrical and Automatic Installations or Senior Technician in Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Examination fee: EUR 18.00, by transfer to the Banco Santander account with IBAN ES61 0049 1742 6421 1001 0281, according to the fiscal ordinance published in the BOP of Seville number 293, of December 21, 2022.
- Other requirements: Spanish nationality, having reached sixteen years of age, functional capacity for the position, and not being disqualified or separated from service from any Administration.
- Persons with disabilities may request adaptations of time and means to take the tests.
Tests of the opposition phase
The opposition phase, which is compulsory and eliminatory, consists of two exercises:
- First exercise: multiple-choice questionnaire on the subjects of the syllabus (annex II), scored up to a maximum of ten points.
- Second exercise: practical test on the specific subjects, scored up to ten points, with a minimum of five to pass it.
The court may determine that both exercises be held in a single act, and correction of the second shall be reserved for those who pass the first. The syllabus combines the general section (Constitution, Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia, Local Administration, public employment and equality) with forty specific topics, including the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation, connection and interior installations, lighting, work with electrical risk (Royal Decree 614/2001), self-consumption photovoltaic installations and electric vehicle charging points.
Competition phase and selection board
Once the competitive examination has been passed, the competition phase will assess the merits claimed and duly documented:
- Professional merits: maximum 6 points for services rendered in Public Administrations or private companies in the same or similar category.
- Training: maximum 4 points for courses, seminars and conferences directly related to the position.
- Passing of selection processes: maximum 2 points.
The examining board shall consist of a chairperson and four members, one of whom shall act as secretary, and its members must hold a qualification equal to or higher than that required. Once the process is finished, a job pool shall be created with the candidates who have passed any of the exercises, to cover future temporary appointments.
The call makes it possible to strengthen the municipal technical staff with two stable professionals from the electrical sector and opens a relevant employment opportunity for qualified job seekers in Aljarafe. Those interested must watch for the publication of the notice in the Official State Gazette, from which point the twenty-business-day deadline for submitting the application is counted.
