Castellón Fire Department announces six administrative assistant positions

The Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Castellón has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 104, dated August 29, 2026, the rules for the call to fill six permanent positions for Administrative Assistant, Subgroup C2, through a competitive examination process (concurso-oposición). The call is part of File no. 887/2025 and was approved by Decree of the Presidency of the Consortium number 2026-0289, dated May 31, 2026.

The positions, vacant within the civil servant staff, fall under the General Administration Scale, Auxiliary Subscale, and originate from the Public Employment Offers of 2023 and 2025. The process is governed by the competitive examination system, as agreed by the Governing Commission of the Consortium in an extraordinary session on November 13, 2025.

Positions and employment offers

The six called positions are divided between two public employment offers published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana:

• Year 2023 (DOGV no. 9726, dated November 16, 2023): 2 positions.
• Year 2025 (DOGV no. 10233, dated November 7, 2025): 4 positions.

Alongside this call, the same gazette publishes two other offers from the Consortium: one position for Middle Technician of Economic-Budgetary Management (Subgroup A2, File no. 880/2025, Decree 2026-0286) and one for Human Resources Technician (Subgroup A2, File no. 884/2025, Decree 2026-00285), both dated May 29, 2026.

Requirements and applications

To participate, applicants must meet the general requirements for access to public employment and hold a Primary School Graduate degree, first-level Vocational Training, or equivalent. Applications should preferably be submitted electronically via the Consortium’s Electronic Office, or at its Registry (Gran Vía Tárrega Monteblanco 282, Castellón de la Plana).

• Deadline: 10 business days from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official State Gazette.
• Exam fee: €40 for group C2, payable by transfer to the Consortium’s account at Cajamar de Castellón.
• Documentation: ID (DNI), proof of payment, qualification, and, if applicable, a list of merits for the competitive phase.

Process phases

The process combines an examination phase with a merit-based competition phase. After the deadline closes, the Presidency will issue a resolution with the provisional lists of admitted and excluded candidates, which will be published in the BOP of Castellón, on the Consortium’s notice board, and on the website of the Provincial Council of Castellón (www.dipcas.es). Interested parties may correct defects or file appeals within ten business days.

The order of appearance for the applicants will begin with the first surname starting with the letter “T”, according to the resolution of the Minister of Finance, Economy and Public Administration of March 12, 2025. Persons with disabilities may request the necessary adaptations for the performance of the tests.

Relevance for the province
