Alicante Firefighters publish the provisional list of rescue specialists

The Provincial Consortium for the Fire Prevention, Extinction and Rescue Service of Alicante has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants for the internal selection process of specialists for the Special Rescue Group (GER), along with the appointment of the qualifying tribunal. The resolution, signed by the delegated president of the organization under number 2026-1273 and dated September 17, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) number 178, dated September 18, 2026, section III, Local Administration, with reference 7124. The list includes 15 admitted applicants and 9 excluded.

From the bases to the provisional list

The process is based on the rules approved by the delegated president’s Resolution number 2026-0413, dated March 23, 2026, modified by Resolution number 2026-0421, dated March 26. The rules were published in BOP number 150, dated August 11, 2026, and on the notice board of the Consortium’s electronic headquarters, with a deadline for submitting applications from August 12 to 21, 2026.

Subsequently, BOP number 175, dated September 15, 2026 (reference 7033), included a formal correction of the rules via Resolution number 2026-1253, dated September 11, of a clarifying, interpretative, or material error correction nature, without substantial modification of requirements or reopening of the procedure.

Causes for exclusion and correction deadlines

The nine excluded applicants and their reasons are as follows:

• Sergio Pérez Sánchez, Elena Valls Bañón and Ekaitz Pérez de Heredia Sánchez: cause I, not being a career civil servant (non-correctable).
• Rubén Sánchez Lillo: cause S, not holding a position as Corporal or Firefighter in active service status (non-correctable).
• Jorge Giménez Sober: cause P, failure to provide a class C driver’s license with associated E or incomplete PDF document (correctable).
• Javier Pedrero Zornoza, José Miguel Catalá Alcaraz, Artemio Carbonell Martínez and Miguel Ruiz Díaz: cause T, failure to provide official diving certification or a commitment to obtain it within the six months of training, or incomplete document (correctable).

Pursuant to Article 68 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, applicants with correctable exclusions have 10 days from the day following the publication on the electronic office to correct the deficiency; failure to do so will be considered a withdrawal. The provisional list will automatically become final if no claim is filed within ten days of its publication on the Consortium’s electronic office.

The qualifying board

The selection body will be chaired by Alberto Martín Moratilla, with Raimundo Tomás Pomares as alternate, and will include José Antonio Amérigo Alonso as titular secretary and Fernando Durá Pomares as alternate. The titular members are César Alcaraz Argüeso, Daniel Cortés Blasco, Mariano Caballero Vidal, Noël Quiñones Rodríguez, and Eva Fornés Martínez; the alternates are Santiago Ivars Cano, Julio García Mayans, Hugo Jareño Sandoval, Vicent Alapont Ferri, and Tomás Cremades Pastor.

Its members, as well as the specialist advisors, are subject to the general grounds and causes for abstention and recusal set forth in Articles 23 and 24 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, and the provisions of Article 13 of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10.

Relevance of the announcement

The publication opens the process for claims and corrections of an internal promotion process that will strengthen the staff of the Consortium’s Special Rescue Group, a specialized unit of the organization. Affected applicants must monitor the electronic office, as subsequent publications of the selection process will be carried out exclusively through that channel.
