Por FactBox Admin

The Boiro City Council has opened the 2026 call for grants for federated sports clubs, with a total amount of 63,050.00 euros. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 187, dated September 30, 2026, in the Local Administration section, under announcement number 2026/6264. Interested sports entities have 10 business days from the date of publication to submit their applications.
The publication is carried out in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on grants, which requires the publication of the call summary and the submission of the full text to the National Grants Database. In that system, the call is identified by the code 931532, where its full version can be consulted.
The specific regulatory bases for federated clubs are included in base 46, section 2, of the 2026 budget execution bases of the Boiro City Council, and were published on the municipal Transparency Portal. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, José Ramón Romero García, in Boiro on September 24, 2026.
Object and eligible expenses
The purpose of the call is to assist clubs with the costs directly associated with their status as a federated sports entity and official federated participation. The expenses that can be covered are:
- Federative licenses.
- Mutual funds or mandatory sports insurance linked to the licenses.
- Mandatory federative fees.
- Registration in official competitions, when required by the corresponding federation.
- Rights, taxes, or refereeing expenses in official competitions.
Expenses that are already financed by other municipal grant lines to the same entity, as well as those attributed to the justification of other grants awarded by the Boiro City Council, are excluded from the aid.
Who can apply and with what documentation
Sports entities that meet the requirements set out in base 2 of the regulatory bases may apply for the grant. The award will be made through competitive bidding, applying the criteria established in the bases themselves.
Applications must be submitted using the standardized form incorporated into the call, which also includes the report template to prove the aspects that will be evaluated and the list of required documentation. The announcement includes five annexes:
- Annex 1: instance.
- Annex 2: standardized application form.
- Annex 3: certificate template accrediting the representation of the entity by the applicant.
- Annex 4: report.
- Annex 5: justification template.
Bodies, deadlines, and resolution
The processing is the responsibility of two municipal bodies: the councillor for economy and finance will act as the instructing body, while the Local Government Board will be the resolving body.
- Application submission deadline: 10 business days from the publication of the call in the BOP of A Coruña.
- Deadline for resolution and notification of the procedure: three months.
- Budgetary application: 341 48001.
- Credit retention: operation 22026002960.
The resolution issued shall end the administrative route and will be notified electronically, with a notice to the email address provided in the application, in addition to being published on the notice board of the Boiro City Council.
The call reaches the clubs of the municipality at a key moment in the sporting calendar, when the entities face the payment of licenses, compulsory insurance, and registration fees for official competitions. The 63,050.00 euros allow for the coverage of precisely those fixed costs of federated participation, therefore the aid has a direct effect on the economic viability of Boiro’s grassroots sports entities and on the continuity of their competitive activity.
