BOE publishes the appointment of a trainee official of the Auxiliary Corps

The Official Gazette of Aragon publishes this Wednesday, in issue 204 corresponding to October 21, 2026, the resolution appointing trainee civil service personnel to the Auxiliary Corps of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, Administrative Auxiliary Scale, Administrative Assistants. The measure is signed by the Director General of the Civil Service, Antonio Villacampa Duque, via resolution dated October 8, 2026, and affects the applicant who has passed the competition phase of the call with code 240060.

One position awarded by merit competition

The resolution is issued after verifying compliance with the requirements demanded in base 10 of the call, approved by Resolution of June 11, 2024, of the Director General of the Civil Service and published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 121, of June 24, 2024. That process was convened for the stabilization of temporary employment, with entry via merit competition and through an independent shift for people with mental illness, within the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon.

The appointment falls to a single person, indicating the department to which they are assigned to carry out the traineeship:

Incorporation on October 28 and selective course

The status of trainee civil servant will extend from October 28, 2026, the date on which the applicant must join the assignment department, and will be maintained until their appointment as a career civil servant or, where applicable, until the declaration of “not fit.” During that period, the remuneration regime provided for in article 8.6 of Law 4/1998, of April 8, on fiscal, financial, heritage and administrative measures, modified by article 22 of Law 14/2014, of December 30, on Fiscal and Administrative Measures of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, will be applied.

The text specifies that the appointment as trainee civil service personnel does not entail the effective performance of the position until the appointment as a career civil servant, derived from the very nature of this figure. Furthermore, according to base 1.2 of the call, the traineeship period includes a selective training course with a final evaluation and mandatory completion for the successful person, the start date of which will be announced in due course.

Administrative appeal within one month

This resolution does not exhaust administrative remedies; therefore, an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed before the Minister of Finance, Interior and Public Administration within one month starting from the day following its publication. The appeal is based on Articles 121 and 122 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, and Article 64.1 of Law 5/2021, of June 29, on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Aragon.

The most immediate precedent for this type of resolution was published on October 1, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 191: at that time, Soldado Olmo, Héctor was appointed as a trainee civil servant, assigned to the Aragonese Institute of Social Services (RPT 11890) and call code 240080, with an incorporation date of October 8. In that case, access was granted through the competitive examination phase, whereas the resolution now published corresponds to a merit-based competition.

Impact for applicants

The appointment represents the decisive step for the applicant, who leaves behind the competition phase and enters the status of trainee civil servant with a certain date of incorporation. For the remaining participants in the temporary employment stabilization processes of the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, the publication confirms that the Directorate General of the Civil Service continues to resolve appointments individually as compliance with the requirements is verified, and that the selection course remains the final test before achieving the status of career civil servant.
