Bizkaiko Etxebizitzak calls hundreds of applicants in Bilbao
Por FactBox Admin

The Territorial Representation of Housing of Bizkaia calls upon hundreds of applicants to appear at the Bilbao headquarters (Gran Vía 85) to be notified of files regarding the subjective right to housing and the Etxebide registry. The call, under reference 2026/3669, was published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) issue number 159, on August 21, 2026, and interested parties have a period of 5 days to appear.
The announcement is based on Articles 44 and 46 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. After personal notification has proven futile, the announcement is published, and interested parties or their representatives must appear within 5 days, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement. If the period expires, the notification will be considered served for legal purposes from the day following the end of the period to appear.
Conditions and period of the call
Interested parties must appear at the Territorial Representation of Housing of Bizkaia, at the address Gran Vía 85, Bilbao, to receive personal notification. The period is 5 days, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement. Once the period expires, the notification will be considered served, and the announcement will have effects from the day following its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Subjective right and Etxebide registry
The announcement covers two types of files, and the annex is divided accordingly:
- Subjective right to housing (DS reference): approximately 90 people who have been recognized as having a subjective right to housing.
- Etxebide registry (SD reference): approximately 240 people who are in the registry of housing applicants.
In total, there are approximately 330 people, many of whom are individuals on the Etxbide waiting list. The annex spans 8 pages, and each reference indicates a file number and the type of notification.
Why it is important
Those who do not receive the notification may have their file closed, and the interested party may lose their subjective right to housing or their name in the registry. Since the period is short, it is essential for interested parties to appear within the timeframe, as the call directly affects the situation of hundreds of people on the Etxbide waiting list.
