Biobío tenders consultancy for the fiscal inspection of the PDI Concepción Police Complex

The Architecture Directorate of the Biobío Region, under the Ministry of Public Works, has opened the digital public tender for the consultancy to provide advisory services to the fiscal inspection of the project “Replacement of the PDI Concepción Police Complex.” The notice was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile No. 44,562, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Section IV, under reference CVE 2878831. The process is handled entirely online and the estimated budget amounts to $897,017,240.

The submission of documentation and other stages must be carried out in accordance with the provisions established in the competition terms, available on the electronic platform.

Contractual Modality and Deadlines

The contract will be entered into under the Unit Price Series modality, with an execution period of 990 calendar days. The official process calendar sets the following stages:

• Period for inquiries: from 09.30.2026 to 10.14.2026.
• Period for responses: from 10.15.2026 to 10.28.2026.
• Closing for receipt of technical and economic bids: 11.13.2026, at 09:00 hrs.
• Opening of technical bids: 11.13.2026, at 10:00 hrs.
• Opening of economic bids: 12.03.2026, at 10:00 hrs.

The notice is signed by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Public Works of the Biobío Region, and the document was electronically signed in accordance with Law No. 19,799, with a time stamp and advanced electronic signature.

Scope of the Work

The consultancy does not include the physical execution of the police facility, but rather the advisory services to the fiscal inspection of the replacement work of the PDI Concepción Police Complex. That is, the awarded company must provide technical support for the supervision of the construction contract for nearly three years, which explains the extended period of 990 calendar days and the amount of the committed budget.

The process is published in the tenders, competitions, and summons section of the official bulletin, such that the terms and the calendar are formally established for all interested parties as of September 30, 2026.

The opening of this tender is of direct interest to the engineering and architecture consultancy market registered with the MOP, which has just over six weeks to prepare their technical and economic documentation.
