Biescas publishes the admitted candidates for the General Administration Technician position

The Biescas City Council has approved the final list of admitted applicants to fill, under the civil service regime, the position of General Administration Technician (TAG) intended for assistance in the exercise of reserved functions in the smaller local entities of Gavín, Piedrafita, and Sobremonte. The decision was adopted via Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-0743, dated August 24, 2026, signed by Mayor Lorena Cajal Escartín, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 163, dated August 27, 2026 (official reference BOPH-2026-163003).

The call for applications is part of the selection process to fill a vacancy in the municipal staff of Biescas, whose services will be provided to the three aforementioned smaller local entities. The resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, is issued in accordance with Article 20 of the General Regulation for the Admission of Personnel to the Service of the General State Administration, approved by Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10.

Final list of admitted applicants

Following the correction period, the Mayor’s Office has definitively approved the list of applicants who have passed the admission phase. Nine candidates are eligible to participate in the process:

First exercise and venue

The first exercise of the call will be held on September 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Biescas Civic Center, located at 4 Ramón y Cajal Street in the town. Applicants must bring their ID (DNI).

The summons is carried out through the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca and on the Notice Board of the Biescas City Council. The call for subsequent exercises will be made public via the Corporation’s notice board and the municipal electronic office (biescas.sedelectronica.es).

Appeals and deadlines

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may alternatively file:

• Optional appeal for reversal, within one month from the day following publication, before the Mayor’s Office, in accordance with Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure.
• Contentious-administrative appeal, within two months, before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Huesca or the court corresponding to the interested party’s address, in accordance with Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

If the appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) is chosen, a contentious-administrative appeal may not be filed until the former is expressly resolved or is dismissed by silence.

The publication of this final list represents a decisive step in filling a key position for the administrative management of the smaller local entities of Gavín, Piedrafita, and Sobremonte, which will see their reserved functions service reinforced with a general administration technician. The nine admitted candidates are summoned for September 16, the date on which the competitive examination phase will begin.
