National Assets cedes property to Lautaro Firefighters for new station

The Ministry of National Assets granted a free-of-charge use concession of the fiscal property to the Lautaro Fire Department, so that the institution may construct the new station for its Fourth Company. The decision was formalized through exempt decree No. E-403, dated August 10, 2026, an extract of which was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The concession is granted for a term of 20 years, starting from the date of signing the public deed of concession, and entails no cost for the firefighting entity. The contract must be signed within 30 days following the publication of the extract in the official bulletin.

The ceded property

The delivered land corresponds to Lot 2A, located at Diego Barros Arana St. No. 680, commune of Lautaro, province of Cautín, La Araucanía Region. It is a state-owned property with the following characteristics:

• Surface area: 2,037.51 m².
• Fiscal appraisal roll: No. 1281-69.
• Registration: in the name of the Treasury of Chile, on page 123 reverse, No. 242, of the Property Registry of the Real Estate Registrar of Lautaro, year 1909.
• Reference plan: No. 09108-27.932-C.U.

The property is registered under a larger plot in the name of the Treasury, which enables its community destination without economic consideration.

Purpose and beneficiary

The concession is granted specifically to designate the property for the construction of a new station for the Fourth Company of the Lautaro Fire Department, an institution identified with RUT No. 81.597.000-4. The measure responds to the community interest in providing adequate infrastructure to the volunteers who provide emergency services in the area.

The extract was authorized by Antonella Gilbert Bacciarini, Head of the Legal Division of the ministry, and the full text of the decree remains available on the ministry’s website.

Relevance for the community

The free transfer of the land will allow the Lautaro firefighters to move forward with the construction of their own modern station, strengthening the emergency response capacity in the commune and its surroundings. Being a cost-free, long-term concession, the measure eases the financial burden on the institution and consolidates the State’s commitment to the public civil protection service in the La Araucanía Region.
