The Betanzos City Council has opened the call to select 16 student-workers for the “Care and Social Inclusion” Talento Mozo training-employment program, aimed at young people registered in the Youth Guarantee National System. The guidelines were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 161, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, via announcement 2026/5539, signed by Mayor María Barral Varela on August 17.
The program, subsidized by the Ministry of Employment, Trade and Migration and co-financed by the European Union within the framework of ESF+ Galicia 2021-2027, is promoted by the Betanzos City Council in collaboration with the councils of Abegondo, Coirós, and Paderne, with whom it maintains an agreement for the development of the project. Its duration will be 12 months, with a planned start deadline of September 15, 2026, according to the award resolution of the Employment Training and Qualification Service of the territorial department of A Coruña, dated July 16, 2026 (file TR353B-2026/000006-1).

Requirements and selection process
Young people who are registered as job seekers in the Public Employment Service of Galicia, are 18 years old and do not exceed the maximum age of the Youth Guarantee regulations, and are registered as beneficiaries in the Youth Guarantee National System file in Galicia may participate. People who have already participated in another dual workshop with the same certificate or who already possess the professional certificate will be excluded.
Pre-selection will be carried out through a type T offer in the SICAS application, with a minimum of 80 candidates (5 per place). The selection process is divided into two phases:
- Opposition phase: personal interview or questionnaire, which is mandatory.
- Competition phase: scoring of merits according to Annex I.
Following provisional publication, a period of 2 business days will be granted for allegations. In the event of a tie, it will be resolved by the longest period of unemployment, the interview score and, as a last resort, the oldest age.
Deadlines and appeals
Preselected persons will have 3 business days from the communication to present the supporting documentation, preferably electronically via the Betanzos City Council headquarters. An appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months, against the resolution approving the bases.
The call represents an employment and qualification opportunity for the youth of the region, in a high-demand sector such as care and social inclusion, financed with European funds and in collaboration between four municipalities.
