Berlanga announces textbook grants for the 2026-2027 academic year

The Berlanga de Duero City Council has announced grants to finance textbooks for the 2026-2027 academic year for students enrolled in the local school, approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on October 30, 2026. The summary of the call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 127, dated November 6, 2026, with the reference BOPSO-127-06112026 and a budget of 500 euros. Families have 20 calendar days from that publication to submit their application.

The call is supported by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, whose articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) enable the publication of the summary and refer the full text of the guidelines to the National Subsidy Database (BDNS), where the call is identified by number 939391.

The agreement of the Local Government Board also approves the regulatory guidelines for the grants, which aim to “economically collaborate with the families of the School’s students.” The complete documentation, annexes, and other call documents are available to interested parties at the municipal offices, the notice board, and the city council website (http://www.berlangadeduero.es).

Who can apply for the grants

The father, mother, or guardian of students enrolled in the Berlanga de Duero School in any of the following courses may apply for the grants:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (second cycle) of Early Childhood Education.
• 1st and 2nd of Primary Education.

For the purposes of the regulatory guidelines, the family coexistence unit to which the student child belongs will be considered the beneficiary. The call is therefore limited to students in the initial stages who are studying in the municipality.

50% of the mandatory book set

The amount of each grant is equivalent to 50% of the acquisition cost of the student’s mandatory book set, according to the definition contained in the guidelines. The Berlanga de Duero City Council will allocate 500.00 euros for this purpose, charged to item 231-48 of the 2026 Expenditure Budget, which limits the number of applications that can be addressed under this call.

Twenty calendar days to submit the application

The deadline for submitting applications is 20 calendar days starting from the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria, that is, from this November 6, 2026. The publication of the full guidelines is carried out in the BDNS, while the summary appears in the provincial gazette in accordance with the competitive bidding procedure provided for in the state subsidy regulations.

The extract is signed in Berlanga de Duero on November 3, 2026, by the mayor, Enrique Rubio Romero, and occupies page 3,972 of the provincial bulletin, within the Local Administration section.

The call for applications arrives while the school year is already underway and families have already borne the cost of school supplies, meaning the subsidy operates as a partial reimbursement of the expense. With a cap of 500 euros and 50% of the cost of the bundle as the criterion, the margin of the call is narrow, making submission within the deadline decisive for qualifying for the aid.
