The Benifato City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (number 174, dated September 14, 2026) the regulatory bases and the call for the “Bono-Consumo Benifato 2026” campaign, an initiative aimed at supporting local commerce and stimulating consumption in the municipality. The campaign is funded by a grant from the Most Excellent Provincial Council of Alicante for a total projected amount of 15,586.00 euros.

The announcement, which corresponds to document 6892/2026 within the Local Administration section, is published in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. The full text of the bases can be consulted on the City Council’s Electronic Office (benifato.sedelectronica.es).

Purpose and Beneficiaries

The purpose of the campaign is to promote support for local commerce and boost consumption in establishments located within the municipal district of Benifato through the creation of a system of nominative consumption vouchers. The following may be recipients of the vouchers:

  • Natural persons of legal age registered as residents in Benifato as of September 1, 2026.
  • Commerce, hospitality, and service establishments with premises open to the public in the municipality that meet the requirements of the bases.

Application Period

Applications for vouchers by citizens shall be submitted from September 28 to October 8, 2026, both dates inclusive. The announcement is electronically signed by the Mayor-President, David Blanes Fracés.

Relevance for the Municipality

The “Bono-Consumo Benifato 2026” campaign represents a direct stimulus for the commercial and hospitality fabric of one of the smallest towns in the province, by channeling funds from the Provincial Council toward consumption in local businesses. With a budget of 15,586 euros, the initiative seeks to reactivate local economic activity and stabilize the population, offering residents an incentive to shop within the municipality during the autumn.
