Benasque announces four vacancies in its 2026 public employment offer

The Benasque City Council has approved its Public Employment Offer for the 2026 fiscal year, which includes the call for four positions under the open competition system, divided equally between civil service personnel and contractual staff. The decision was adopted through Mayoral Decree No. 662/2026, dated September 4, 2026, and has been made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 172, dated September 9, 2026.

The call is framed within Article 70 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, as well as Article 91 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Government, and Article 237 of Law 7/1999, of April 9, on Local Administration of Aragon. The announcement, signed by Mayor Manuel Mora Bernat in Benasque on September 8, 2026, is published for the information of interested parties.

Civil Service Positions

The block of civil service personnel, under open competition, totals two positions distributed across two categories of groups A1 and A2:

• General Administration Technician (group A1): 1 vacancy.
• Technical Architect (group A2): 1 vacancy.

Contractual Staff Positions

The block of contractual staff, also under open competition, includes two positions in group C2:

• Tradesperson/Official: 1 vacancy.
• Administrative Assistant: 1 vacancy.

Appeals and Deadlines

Against the resolution, which concludes the administrative process, interested parties may alternatively file an optional appeal for reversal within one month before the same body that issued the act, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Huesca within two months, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca. If the appeal for reversal is chosen, the contentious appeal cannot be filed until the former is expressly resolved or dismissed by silence.

The offer represents a significant opportunity for public employment in the Aragonese Pyrenees, as it reinforces both the technical and administrative services of the council and its support staff, in a municipality with high tourist activity such as Benasque.
