Begonte calls for grants of up to 150 euros for ESO school supplies

The Begonte City Council is calling for grants of up to 150 euros per student for school supplies and, exceptionally, textbooks for the four years of ESO at the IES Río Miño de Rábade during the 2026-2027 academic year. The call was approved by the Mayoral Resolution of September 15, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 216, on September 21, 2026, with reference R. 2486 and identifier BDNS 929581. Interested families have 30 calendar days to submit their application.

The announcement is an extract of the call published under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, and the full text is available in the National Subsidy Database (BDNS). The purpose of the guidelines is to regulate the grants from the Begonte City Council for schooling in the compulsory stage of the 2026-2027 academic year. Who can apply for the grants

• Students enrolled at the CEIP Virxe do Corpiño in Begonte for the 2026-2027 school year, whether or not they are registered as residents in the municipality.
• Early Childhood and Primary Education students from Saavedra and Uriz schooled in Rábade, who are considered enrolled or, in their case, coming from the public school of Begonte.
• Students registered as residents in Begonte who are pursuing studies at the IES Río Miño de Rábade or other public or subsidized educational centers in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Amount and purpose of the grants

• Amount of up to 150.00 euros for each grant awarded.
• Purpose: school supplies and, exceptionally, textbooks.
• Courses covered: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of ESO at the IES Río Miño de Rábade, a center that has implemented the E-Dixgal program.
• The call also covers the early childhood and primary education stages.

• Application submission period: 30 calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo.

In the same edition of the gazette, the Begonte City Council publishes a second line of grants, for school transport for the 2026-2027 academic year (BDNS 929589, reference R. 2487), aimed at students of baccalaureate, vocational training cycles, and university studies with an annual per capita family income not exceeding 12,000 euros.

The call arrives with the school year already underway and covers a recurring expense for families in the municipality, who in many cases must transport their children to Rábade to attend ESO. The 30-calendar-day deadline sets a short window to gather the documentation and submit the application.
