Becerreá expands credit by 54,735 euros and opens fifteen days for claims
Por FactBox Admin

The Becerreá City Council has initially approved a credit transfer of 54,735.25 euros to modify its municipal accounts. The agreement was adopted by the corporation’s Plenary in an extraordinary session on October 9 and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo, number 239, Monday, October 19, 2026, under reference R. 2790. The file is now open for claims for fifteen business days.
The operation is processed as a credit modification file under the credit transfer modality, identified as MC 13/26 TC 01/26. The transfer consists of moving credit between different budgetary applications of the current budget, without altering the total volume of municipal public spending, unlike what occurs with a credit supplement.
The announcement is published for the purposes of articles 177.2 and 169.1 of the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. This legal framework requires these types of credit modifications to be submitted for public information before reaching final approval.
Initial approval in an extraordinary plenary session
The agreement was adopted in an extraordinary session of the Plenary on October 9, 2026, as stated in the announcement signed in Becerreá on October 13 by the mayor, Manuel Martínez Núñez. The publication in the provincial gazette aims to open the public exhibition process of the file.
The official text does not detail the specific budgetary applications between which the credit is moved nor the final destination of the 54,735.25 euros, therefore the available information is limited to its amount and the procedure applied.
Fifteen business days to present claims
The announcement sets the conditions for the public information process:
- A period of fifteen business days, counted from the publication in the BOP, to examine the file and present claims before the Plenary.
- If no claim is presented within that period, the file will be considered definitively approved without the need for a new plenary agreement.
- If claims are presented, the Plenary will have one month to resolve them.
Two credit files in the same session
In the same extraordinary session on October 9, the Becerreá Plenary initially approved a second credit modification file, in this case a credit supplement:
- MC 12/26 SC 03/26, for an amount of 32,500.00 euros, published in the same issue of the BOP under reference R. 2791.
- Same public information regime: fifteen business days to examine and claim before the Plenary.
- Application of the same local regulations: articles 177.2 and 169.1 of the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.
The two operations total 87,235.25 euros and affect the same budgetary year of the council, although they correspond to different modalities of credit modification.
The relevance of the publication lies in its practical effect: as long as the public exhibition period has not ended, the municipal accounts of Becerreá remain open and any neighbor or interested party may consult the file and challenge the operation before the Plenary. After fifteen business days have passed without claims, the transfer of 54,735.25 euros will be definitively approved and will enable the council to execute the expenses planned in the destination applications.
