100Kairós Scholarships: 40,000 euros against depopulation in Cáceres
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (no. 0165, of August 28, 2026) the regulatory bases for the call for scholarships from the Participation and Excellence Incentive System of the 100Kairós project, endowed with 40,000 euros. The announcement, signed by the secretary José Álvaro Casas Avilés, is included in Section I of Local Administration, and its extract (reference BOP-2026-4062, BDNS 926518) was signed by the first vice-president Esther Gutiérrez Morán.
A project against the brain drain
The 100Kairós project, led by the Employment Agency of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, was created under Order TED/1358/2021 of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, which finances innovative projects for territorial transformation and the fight against depopulation. Following the call of June 27, 2024, and the list of beneficiary entities approved on April 11, 2025, the Provincial Council was selected to develop this advanced professional insertion system.
The program combines two objectives: digitizing small rural producers and providing a qualified professional purpose for unemployed people, especially youth and women. The training exceeds 400 hours and includes online commerce, digital marketing, and transversal skills, with a personalized support itinerary for each participant.
Two modalities of aid
The scholarships are structured into two compatible lines, meaning each participant can apply for one or both:
- Modality A (theoretical training): €25,000, with €250 per beneficiary, for permanence and completion of the program.
- Modality B (practical training): €15,000, with €150 per beneficiary, for participation in SME challenges.
The credit is allocated to the budget application 04-2419-48700 “Scholarships for the advanced professional insertion system project.” The grants are payable in arrears and are compatible with others of the same purpose, without the need to establish guarantees.
Requirements and deadlines
To access Modality A, it is required to prove at least 70% attendance of the 320 teaching hours (256 from the technical itinerary and 64 from the transversal one) and to pass all training modules. Modality B adds active participation in sessions with the assigned SME, a positive evaluation of the challenge, and the submission of the Employability Support Plan (PAE).
- The application period opens the day after the publication of the summary and ends on October 31, 2026.
- The execution of obligations concludes on November 30, 2026.
- The justification may be submitted until December 10, 2026.
- Processing is entirely electronic via the electronic office sede.dipcaceres.es.
Relevance for the province
The call is resolved through the direct award procedure via an open call, justified by the economic and social interest in meeting the training and professional needs of the province. With this initiative, the Provincial Council seeks to retain local talent, promote labor insertion, and position Cáceres as a benchmark in socio-labor intervention against depopulation.
