Baza announces a vacancy for Ordinance-Notifier via open competitive examination

The Baza City Council has announced the selection process to fill, through open competition, one position as General Administration Orderly-Notifier, belonging to subgroup C2, level 16, as a career civil servant. The rules are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada, number 168, dated September 1, 2026, with official reference BOP-GRA-2026-168005.

The position is included in the Public Employment Offer for the 2025 fiscal year, approved by the Local Governing Board in the session of December 12, 2025, and published in the BOP of Granada number 245, dated December 24, 2025. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Pedro Justo Ramos Martínez, in Baza on August 25, 2026.

Participation Requirements

To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements before the application deadline and maintain them until the appointment:

• Hold Spanish nationality or another nationality admitted by the Basic Statute of Public Employees.
• Be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed the compulsory retirement age.
• Hold a Graduate degree in Compulsory Secondary Education, First-level Vocational Training, or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess the functional capacity to perform the tasks.
• Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any Public Administration.
• Hold an A1 driving license or have more than three years of seniority with a Class B license.
• Commit to driving municipal vehicles for the performance of the position’s duties.

Submission of Applications and Fee

Applications shall be addressed to the personnel department using the standardized form in Annex I, accompanied by the qualification, the driving license, and proof of payment of the examination fee, set at 18 euros for group C2 in accordance with Fiscal Ordinance number 35 of the City Council. The submission period is twenty business days from the day following the publication of the rules.

Submission may be carried out:

• In person, at the Citizen Service Office.
• Electronically, through the electronic office of the Baza City Council, using an electronic certificate.
• Through other channels provided for in Law 39/2015, such as Post Offices, with the envelope open for dating and stamping.

Payment can be made via self-assessment on the electronic office or by transfer to account ES87 2100 1987 0602 0000 2510 at CaixaBank.

Competition Phase and Tribunal

The procedure consists of a single phase, the competition, with two mandatory and eliminatory exercises, each graded up to a maximum of 10 points and requiring a minimum of 5 to pass:

• First exercise: multiple-choice questionnaire of 50 questions with four alternative answers, in 50 minutes, with a minimum of 25 points to pass.
• Second exercise: practical in nature, with one or several cases related to the syllabus, 120 minutes in duration and a minimum of 25 points.

The Evaluating Board will be composed of a president, three members, and a secretary, all appointed by the mayor, along with their respective alternates. The provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates will be published in the BOP, on the municipal website, and on the notice board, with a period of ten business days for corrections.

Appointment and appeals

The selected candidate must submit the documentation within a maximum period of ten business days and take office within the thirty calendar days following the notification of the appointment. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution approving the rules before the Mayor’s Office within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Courts within two months.

This call for applications represents an opportunity for stable public employment for the Baza region, by consolidating a career civil servant position within the municipal staff through an open and transparent process, in line with the objectives of reducing temporary employment in the public sector.
