Bargas announces an open competitive examination for one public works laborer position

The Bargas City Council has announced a selection process for the definitive provision, through an open competitive examination procedure, of one laborer position assigned to the works, public roads, and cemetery service of its labor staff. The call is approved by Mayor’s resolution no. 1659, of August 17, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 161, of August 25, 2026, with the official reference No. I.-3785.

The position, included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer, belongs to the Professional Groups (AP) Group, level 14, and does not require any qualification to enter the process. The selection system is that of an open competition, with two mandatory and eliminatory exercises, and is governed by the bases approved by the Mayor’s Office, with supplementary application of state and regional public employment regulations.

Requirements and submission of applications

To participate, it is necessary to meet the general requirements for access to public employment, including being at least sixteen years old and not exceeding the compulsory retirement age, as well as not having been separated from the service of any Administration. Applicants with disabilities will be admitted on equal terms provided that their limitations are not incompatible with the tasks of the position.

• Submission period: twenty business days from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the Official State Gazette.
• Location: electronic registry of the Bargas City Council, Post Offices, consular representations, and other registries provided for in Law 39/2015.
• Examination fees: 12.00 euros, with a 50% reduction for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33% and for job seekers who meet the requirements.

Selection process

The competition phase consists of two eliminatory exercises, graded from 0 to 10 points and passable with a minimum of 5:

• First exercise (theoretical): multiple-choice questionnaire of 40 questions plus 5 reserve questions, with a duration of 60 minutes, on common and specific subject matter; it is weighted at 25%.
• Second exercise (practical): practical tests on the functional scope of the position, assessing speed, fluency, and perfection; it is weighted at 75%.

The order of action for the applicants will begin with the first surname starting with the letter “Q”, in accordance with the resolution of the General Directorate of Public Function of Castilla-La Mancha for 2026. The qualifying tribunal, which is parity-based and consists of five members, will publish the lists of admitted and excluded candidates in the provincial gazette and on the Corporation’s electronic notice board.

Job bank and contracting

Once the process is concluded, a job bank will be established in order of score for future fixed-term or permanent hires. The person who passes the process must submit the required documentation within twenty business days and will formalize the contract as permanent labor personnel within a maximum period of one month.
