Barcelona tenders two beach bars on the Maritime Promenade in two lots

Por FactBox Admin

The Barcelona City Council has initiated the tender for the public domain concessions of two beach bar kiosks located on the Maritime Promenade of Nova Mar Bella and Llevant, divided into two lots. The resolution, signed by the Institute’s manager on August 31, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) on September 7, 2026, with official reference CVE 202610136453 and file number 26PIJ009CD.

An opportunity for coastal catering

The tender, promoted by the Urban Services and Public Space Maintenance Area Management and the General Services Directorate of the City Council, opens the door for catering operators to commercially exploit two privileged locations on the Barcelona coastline. The two kiosks are divided into two independent lots, allowing different operators to bid for each of the concessions.

The document, processed by the Department of Legal Advice and Processing, establishes the conditions for the submission of bids and the subsequent awarding of the private use of the municipal public domain.

Deadlines and procedure

Interested parties will have a period of 26 calendar days to submit their offers, counted from the day after the publication of the tender announcement. The resolution provides for the dissemination of the announcement through two official channels:

  • The Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB).
  • The Public Procurement Services Platform of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The resolution, dated in Barcelona on August 31, 2026, is signed by the delegated secretary of Parks and Gardens, Álvaro Comajoan Gutiérrez, representing the managing body.

Relevance for the sector

This tender represents a concrete opportunity for the city’s catering and hospitality sector, which will be able to access two high-traffic spaces on Barcelona’s seafront. The division into two lots expands the participation possibilities for operators of different sizes, and the 26-calendar-day deadline offers a reasonable margin to prepare technical and economic proposals.
