Barcarrota awards an industrial plot to Montajes Extremadura and leaves two others vacant
Por FactBox Admin

The Barcarrota City Council has awarded lot 3 of plot I.2 in sector SUB-2 of the municipality’s industrial estate to Montajes Extremadura, SLL, for a price of 33,005.31 euros, while lots 1 and 2 remained vacant. The result of the second tender process is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 205, dated October 26, 2026, in announcement 4065/2026, within the Local Administration section and signed by the mayor, Miguel Rodríguez Agudo.
The publication is carried out in compliance with article 8.1.a) of Law 19/2013, of December 9, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, which requires administrations to disseminate the results of procedures for the disposal of patrimonial assets. This concerns municipally owned land classified as a patrimonial asset and disposed of via auction, divided into three independent lots within the same industrial plot.
Three lots, one single awardee
The announcement summarizes the result of the second tender with the following detail:
- Lot 1 (plot 1-I.2): vacant.
- Lot 2 (plot 2-I.2): vacant.
- Lot 3 (plot 3-I.2): awarded to Montajes Extremadura, SLL, with NIF B09747684, for 33,005.31 euros.
Thus, only one of the three lots put out to tender found a buyer in the second attempt, leaving two-thirds of the offered industrial land unawarded and forcing the Council to decide whether to tender them again or rethink the starting conditions.
A file closed across three dates
The administrative processing of the awarded lot was staggered over slightly more than two months, according to the data collected in the announcement itself:
- July 29, 2026: date of the award resolution.
- August 10, 2026: formalization of the contract with the awarded company.
- October 7, 2026: date of contract rectification.
The announcement expressly indicates that the award resolution and the declaration of vacant lots are the administrative acts that conclude the file, and that both are available to interested parties.
Public consultation of the file
The Barcarrota City Council provides two ways to consult the complete documentation of the procedure:
- The municipal electronic office, accessible at https://barcarrota.sedelectronica.es.
- The contractor profile hosted on the Public Sector Procurement Platform.
Through these channels, both the award resolution and the declaration of vacant lots can be examined—documents that are not reproduced in full in the provincial gazette, which is limited to the summary of the result.
Relevance for the municipality
The operation has a twofold effect for Barcarrota. On one hand, it represents an effective asset income of 33,005.31 euros and the addition of a new business activity to the industrial estate, with the consequent impact on the local productive fabric. On the other, it highlights the low demand for industrial land in the municipality: two of the three lots remained vacant even in a second call, which may condition the municipal policy on asset sales and encourage the governing team to review starting prices or explore alternative formulas, such as leasing or granting use, to prevent public land from remaining unused.
