Barbate submits a hotel in El Consorcio for public consultation

The Barbate City Council has agreed to submit for public review the feasibility study for the works concession for the construction and operation of a hotel establishment on plot B6-M2 of the Execution Unit B-6 «El Consorcio». The decision was adopted by Mayor-President’s Decree No. 2026-2472, dated August 19, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 170, dated September 3, 2026.

The public exhibition will last for one month starting from the day following the publication of the announcement, in accordance with article 247.3 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts. During this period, any interested party may examine the study and submit any allegations they deem appropriate.

A project with urban and tourism impact

The initiative is part of the development of Execution Unit B-6 «El Consorcio», a land area that the Cádiz municipality intends to transform for hotel use. Along with the feasibility study, the complementary documentation of the file is made available to the public, which includes the Special Interior Reform Plan of the unit, the Reparceling Project, and the Environmental Impact Study.

The contracting body is the Plenary of the Corporation, which will resolve the concession once the public information process has concluded. The complementary documentation is for informational purposes only and does not imply a new approval of the urban planning instruments nor the opening of a new urban or environmental public information procedure.

How to consult and submit allegations

Interested parties may consult the feasibility study and the rest of the documentation through the following channels:

• The municipal electronic office of Barbate (https://barbate.sedelectronica.es/).
• The City Council’s contractor profile, hosted on the Public Sector Procurement Platform (https://contrataciondelestado.es).
• The City Council’s notice board, where the announcement will be published on the same day it appears in the official gazette.

Allegations may be submitted in writing to the General Registry of the City Council, located at Plaza de la Inmaculada s/n, Barbate, or at any of the places provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
