Barbastro approves the multiple tax register for 1.3 million

Por FactBox Admin

The Barbastro City Council has approved the multiple tax roll for the 2026 fiscal year, amounting to 1,301,156.46 euros, which groups together the fees for waste collection, sewerage, and occupation of public roads. The decision was adopted via Decree of the Delegated Department of Finance and Internal Affairs No. 2736/2026, dated September 2, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 169, dated September 4, 2026.

The resolution, signed by the delegated councilor for Finance, Internal Affairs, and Tourism, Blanca Galindo Sanz, is issued in exercise of the delegation conferred by the Mayor’s Office through Decree 1563/2023, dated July 26. The tax roll affects all taxpayers in the municipality and is subject to public inspection for one month.

Fees included in the tax roll

The 2026 multiple tax roll integrates three tax concepts that are settled jointly:

  • Fee for the provision of waste collection services.
  • Fee for the provision of sewerage services.
  • Fee for the entry and exit of vehicles via sidewalks and the reservation of public roads for parking, loading, and unloading of goods of any kind.

The total approved amount amounts to 1,301,156.46 euros, and the tax roll is identified with NIF P2206100F and file 1884873E.

Public exhibition and appeals

The tax roll is subject to public information for one month in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca, during which period any interested party may examine it. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the application and effectiveness of the data appearing in the tax roll before the Delegated Department of Finance, Internal Affairs, and Tourism, within one month starting from the day following the end of the public exhibition period.

Voluntary payment period

Under articles 23, 24, and 25 of the General Collection Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 939/2005, dated July 29, the voluntary payment period is established as two months, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Huesca. During this time, interested parties may pay their receipts at the banking institutions where they have direct debits set up or, if applicable, via a payment letter at any of these entities:

  • Ibercaja Banco, S.A.
  • BBVA, S.A.
  • Banco Santander, S.A.
  • Caja Rural de Aragón

Once the voluntary payment period has elapsed, debts will be demanded through the executive collection procedure, accruing the late payment surcharge, default interest, and, where applicable, any costs incurred.

The publication of this tax roll marks the start of the 2026 collection calendar in Barbastro, therefore taxpayers must be mindful of the exhibition and payment deadlines to avoid surcharges. The grouping of the three fees into a single tax roll simplifies municipal management and concentrates the settlement of basic services provided by the city council into a single procedure.
