Barbastro abre ayudas de hasta 1.200 euros para proyectos de las AMPA

The Barbastro City Council has opened the call for grants to finance projects for the Parents and Mothers Associations (AMYPAS) of public and semi-private educational centers in the city during 2026. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 199, dated Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the official reference BOPH-2026-199002 and file number 4544. The extract is signed by the Councilor for Culture, Youth, and Education, Mª Pilar Abad Sallán, and is registered in the National Grants Database with the identifier 935339.

Purpose and beneficiaries

The call regulates the granting of aid for the expenses of implementing participation, association, and training projects by the AMYPAS of schools in Barbastro, with the aim of consolidating family involvement in the educational process. The execution period for the activities spans from November 1, 2025, to the date of application submission in 2026, and all activities must be carried out within the municipality of Barbastro.

Legally constituted associations registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations, with headquarters in the city and a scope of action within their school centers, may apply for the aid. Eligible activities include, among others, those promoting coexistence and the prevention of school bullying, those facilitating the reconciliation of work and school schedules, those focused on educational inclusion and interculturality, those occupying free time through culture, sports, or healthy leisure, those supporting curricular activities to prevent school failure, and the acquisition of non-inventoriable material.

Amount and budget item

  • Maximum amount planned for education grants: 8,000.00 euros.
  • Budget application: 010 32000 48001 Education Grants, from the 2026 municipal budgets.
  • Credit retention accounting document: RC nº 2424/2026, dated October 1, 2026.
  • Maximum funding per beneficiary: 1,200 euros.
  • Maximum coverage of the eligible activity: 80%, with 100% justification.

The amount to be received will be proportional to the scoring rank obtained, and the grant will be determined in descending order until the available budget is exhausted.

Deadline, submission, and evaluation

The deadline for submitting applications and justification is 15 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca. Applications must be submitted electronically to the Electronic Registry of the Barbastro City Council, via the municipal electronic office, along with the standardized annexes: application (Annex S1), explanatory memorandum of the project (Annex S2), third-party form, and supporting documentation (Annexes J1, J2, and J3).

The evaluation criteria total a maximum of 100 points:

  • Up to 20 points for the number of units or specialties of the educational center.
  • Up to 50 points for the submitted activity project, according to the scale for training, leisure, coexistence, reconciliation, inclusion, interculturality, and curricular support.
  • Up to 15 points for the number of students and target families.
  • Up to 15 points for the total duration of the activity.

Resolution and payment

The resolution will be issued by the council department, reasoned and notified to all interested parties, and will be published on the notice board of the municipal electronic office. The maximum period to resolve and notify is three months from the publication of the call; if this period passes without notification, the application will be understood as rejected due to administrative silence. Payment will be made in a single installment via bank transfer, without the need to provide guarantees.

The call reaches the families of Barbastro in a school year marked by the need to sustain extracurricular and reconciliation activities, and offers the AMYPAS (Parents’ Associations) of public and subsidized centers a stable funding route for their projects. The 15-calendar-day deadline makes it advisable for interested associations to already prepare the project memorandum and the justification of expenses.
