Barbadás modifies the subsidy annex with aid for clubs and associations

The Plenary of the Barbadás City Council initially approved, in the ordinary session of September 7, 2026, the modification of the subsidies annex that forms part of the 2025 budget, extended to the 2026 financial year. The agreement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 5, 2026, within section IV. Local Entities, with the reference R. 2.250. The modification is open to the public for fifteen days for the submission of allegations.

The document bears the signature of the mayor, Xosé Carlos Valcárcel Doval, and was issued in Barbadás on September 17, 2026. The subsidies annex is part of the current municipal budget, that of 2025, which remains extended during 2026. The proposal distinguishes two categories: nominative subsidies, with the beneficiary and amount fixed directly in the annex, and non-nominative subsidies, aimed at generic groups who must participate in the corresponding procedure. The sum of the related contributions amounts to 238,850 euros, of which 124,850 correspond to nominative and 114,000 to non-nominative.

Sports: Parada de Piñor and Barbadás, main beneficiaries

The largest amounts in the annex are concentrated in the sporting field, with two entities as the main recipients of the council’s institutional collaboration:

• A.D. Parada de Piñor — institutional collaboration in sporting matters, 60,600.00 euros (application 341.780.05).
• U.D. Barbadás — institutional collaboration in sporting matters, 35,000.00 euros (application 341.480.02).
• Club Veteranos Sobrado — institutional collaboration in sporting matters, 1,000.00 euros (application 341.480.03).
• Club Veteranos Barbadás — institutional collaboration in sporting matters, 1,000.00 euros (application 341.480.04).

Culture, education and associative fabric

The rest of the nominative grants distribute funds among cultural associations, neighborhood communities and educational centers in the municipality:

• A.C. Alberto García Ferreiro — promotion of activities and cultural fabric, 5,000.00 euros (application 334.480.06).
• A.C. Nova Fronteira — promotion of activities and cultural fabric, 4,000.00 euros (application 334.480.01).
• A.C. Ritmos Musicais — promotion of musical activities, 4,000.00 euros (application 334.480.02).
• A.C. Loiro Na Memoria — promotion of activities and cultural fabric, 3,000.00 euros (application 334.480.04).
• Asociación Fonval — promotion of activities and cultural fabric, 3,000.00 euros (application 924.480.02).
• A.C. Música e Cultura de Galicia — promotion of activities and cultural fabric, 2,250.00 euros (application 334.480.05).
• ANPA Filomena Dato, ANPA Ruxidoiro and ANPA IES Ferro Couselo — promotion of educational and recreational activities for students, 1,000.00 euros each (application 326.480.02).
• CEIP O Ruxidorio and CEIP Filomena Dato — institutional collaboration in educational matters, 1,500.00 euros each (application 326.480.03).

Non-nominative grants and appeal period

The annex also reserves funds for public competition lines, without a determined beneficiary:

• Employment promotion — 20,000.00 euros (application 241.470).
• Support for celiacs, general citizenship — 50,000.00 euros (application 231.480.00).
• Scholarships — 4,000.00 euros (application 326.480.01).
• Cultural associations — 10,000.00 euros (application 334.480.03).
• Sports entities, events — 5,000.00 euros (application 341.480.00).
• Sports clubs — 9,000.00 euros (application 341.480.01).
• Neighborhood associations — 16,000.00 euros (application 924.480.01).

Interested parties may examine the file at the municipal electronic office, at https://barbadas.sedelectronica.gal, and submit appeals within a period of fifteen days. If no claim is presented, the agreement will be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new plenary pronouncement.

The modification of the annex determines that sports, cultural, educational, and neighborhood entities of Barbadás already know the amounts they will receive from the extended budget, with a notable concentration of funds in two sports clubs. The open period allows for the review or challenging of the distribution before it acquires a definitive character.
