Por FactBox Admin

The Barbadás City Council opens the call for financial aid for books and teaching materials in Early Childhood Education for the 2026-2027 academic year, with individual amounts of up to 100 euros. The extract of the regulatory bases was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 3, 2026, and applications may be submitted for one month starting from the day following its publication.

The call, signed by Mayor Xosé Carlos Valcárcel Doval on August 7, 2026, aims to provide books and teaching materials to Early Childhood Education students registered in the municipality. The full text of the bases is available in the National Grants Database, with the identifier BDNS 925792.

Requirements and Amount

The grants are aimed at households with children of Early Childhood Education age, provided that their income does not exceed the limit established in the bases.

  • Maximum individual amount: 100 euros per student.
  • Income limit: 5,700 net euros per family member.
  • Recipients: Early Childhood Education students of the Barbadás City Council.

Submission of Applications

The deadline for submitting applications begins the day after the publication of the extract in the BOP of Ourense and extends for one month. Beneficiaries must comply with the obligations indicated in Article 11 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on grants in Galicia, as well as other provisions of legislation regarding grants.

The call is processed in accordance with the provisions of Articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Grants, which regulate the publication of the extract of the bases and its dissemination in the National Grants Database.

Impact for Families

This line of aid represents direct relief for families in Barbadás with school-age children, at a time when spending on books and teaching materials represents a significant burden at the start of each course. The amount of up to 100 euros per student can cover a significant part of Early Childhood Education school materials, and the income limit of 5,700 euros per family member expands access to middle-income households.

Interested families should be mindful of the one-month deadline from the publication in the official gazette, as the call does not accept applications outside the deadline. The resolution and granting of the aid will be processed according to the regulatory bases published in the National Grants Database.
