Por FactBox Admin

Barakaldo City Council has published the provisional list of accepted and rejected candidates for the selection process for seven trade assistant (Ayudante/a de Oficios) positions. The list was approved by Mayoral Decree number 2026/006543, dated August 8, 2026, and published in the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia (BOB) number 157, on August 19, 2026. Interested parties have a period of 10 business days to submit appeals or correct the reasons for rejection.
Content of the lists
The provisional lists include a list of 111 accepted persons and a list of 81 rejected persons. In all cases of rejection, the sole reason is: failure to pay the examination fee, and therefore, it is rectifiable. The document explicitly states that appearing on the accepted list does not mean that the requirements requested in the selection procedure have been met.
- 111 accepted, in the Anexo I list.
- 81 rejected, all for failure to pay the examination fee (rectifiable reason).
- 1 person (Anexo II) has been asked for documentation to verify a disability or assistance status.
Appeal period and correction procedure
The resolution provides a period of 10 business days, starting from the day following its publication in the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia, to correct the errors that caused the rejection or to submit appeals against the provisional lists. Those who do not correct the errors within that period, without justifying their right to be accepted, will be definitively excluded from the process.
Disability adjustments
Applicants appearing in the Anexo II list are given a period of 10 business days to present documentation verifying the disability or personal need for assistance, such as specialist reports or disability certificates. The Selection Board (Tribunal Calificador) will decide on the appropriateness and specificity of the adjustments, according to the surroundings of each test; adjustments will not be granted automatically, but only when the disability or condition has a direct link to the test being taken.
Publication and signature
The resolution will be published in the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia, on the Council’s notice board, and on the Barakaldo City Council website. The document was signed by Mayor Amaia del Campo Berasategui in Barakaldo, on August 11, 2026.
This list closes the first phase of the process, and hundreds of candidates are competing for seven positions; once the appeal period ends, the final lists will be approved and the subsequent tests will be conducted. It is important that interested parties do not miss the deadline, as those rejected for not paying the fee also have the opportunity to correct the situation.
