Por FactBox Admin

Barakaldo City Council has approved the final list of admitted candidates, the examining board, and the date of the first examination for the selection process for three General Administration Technician positions. The decision was made by the Mayor, Amaia del Campo Berasategui, through mayoral decree 2026-6790 of August 18, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia (BOB) in issue number 164 on August 28, 2026.
The process is part of a public job offer call to fill three General Administration Technician positions on a free-shift basis. The call has admitted 218 people on the final list, and no one was excluded; this demonstrates that we are facing a large public employment process in one of the largest municipalities in Left Bizkaia.
First examination on November 19
The first part of the first examination of the opposition phase will take place on November 19, 2026, at 9:30 AM, in the BIC Bizkaia Ezkerraldea building, at number 33 Altos Hornos de Vizcaya Avenue, Barakaldo. The call specifies that this examination will be the first practical step of the selection process.

Appeals and publication

Optionally, a request for reconsideration may be submitted to the same body that issued the resolution within one month from the day following the publication.
The resolution has been published in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia, on the council’s electronic notice board, and on the Barakaldo City Council website. The full list of admitted candidates is included in the annex of the resolution, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
This selection process is of special importance, as General Administration technicians are the axis of the council’s operation; filling these three positions will strengthen the public service of the Barakaldo City Council, and the participation of 218 candidates shows the great interest in public employment in the Left region.
