The economy of Barakaldo has appointed a nurse and an IT technician

Barakaldo City Council has appointed four officials to fill vacant public administration positions: two economists (A1), one nurse (A2), and one IT technician (A2). The appointments were published in the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia, issue number 161, on August 25, 2026, in section II, through three mayoral decrees.

All appointments were signed by Mayor Amaia del Campo Berasategui in Barakaldo on August 17, 2026, and the decrees were approved on August 14. In the case of the economists, the two appointments were carried out via Mayoral Decree 6661/2026; the nurse’s via decree 6655/2026; and the IT technician’s via decree 2026/006656.

New Economists (A1)

Two economists have been appointed as officials in training, belonging to the Special Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Chief Technician Class, Group A, Subgroup A1, with a C1C1 language profile:

• Jon Iturrioz Karkokli, DNI *9591, with the assignment of position code 131030-2 (mandatory language profile).
• Cristina Alonso Clemente, DNI *4370, with the assignment of position code 131030-3 (language profile without a preceptivity date).

Nurse and IT Technician

Estibaliz Sevilla Solance, DNI *7885, has been appointed as a career official in the Diploma/University Diploma position in Nursing (A2), with the assignment of position code 238030-1, after completing the training period. She has a C1C1 language profile, without a preceptivity date.

Rafael Justel Calvo, DNI *1904, has been appointed as an official in training in the IT Diploma/Technician position (A2), with the assignment of position code 236020-1 and a C1C1 language profile without a preceptivity date.

Meaning of the Appointments

These appointments are a step toward strengthening the administrative staff of the Barakaldo City Council, filling vacant positions and ensuring the continuity of public services. The economists, the nurse, and the IT technician are Group A officials, which means the technical and specialized management of the council is being reinforced.

The Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia, issue number 161, dated August 25, 2026, published these appointments in section II, giving them full legal officiality so that interested parties and citizens may be informed and, if applicable, file an appeal.
