Banco de Costa Rica licita equipo médico, caseteras y dispositivos Apple

The Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) opened three market studies to contract medical equipment, cassettes for ATMs, and the acquisition and support of Apple devices for end users. The calls were published in the Public Procurement section of La Gaceta No. 191 on Friday, October 9, 2026, and are processed through the Integrated Public Procurement System (SICOP). Interested parties have 10 business days, counting from the day of publication, to submit their proposals.

The BCR is a banking entity of the Costa Rican State that publishes its procurement procedures in the Official Gazette La Gaceta, under the Tenders section of the Public Procurement department. The three notices correspond to market studies—also identified as RFIs—meaning they are preliminary surveys through which the institution verifies supply, prices, and technical conditions before calling for a formal purchase.

In all three cases, the deadline is 10 business days starting from the day of the announcement’s publication, closing at 23:59:59. Documentation and the submission of responses are managed through the SICOP platform, in the Service Center/Institutional Invitation section, and inquiries are handled via email.

Medical equipment

The first study seeks the contracting of medical equipment. The publication is unique and the responsible unit is the Labor Welfare Unit of the BCR, whose supervisor is Esteban Ardón Morera.

Cassettes for ATMs

The second market study refers to the acquisition of cassettes for ATMs. Interested parties may consult the specifications and conditions, as well as submit their response, through SICOP; inquiries must be managed using that same tool.

  • The notice is signed by Oscar Jiménez Bastos, Manager of the Cash Administration Area.

Apple devices and technical support

The third notice is an RFI market study for the acquisition and support of Apple devices for end users, with SICOP code 4321150392412689. The responsible unit is the Technical Support Unit Office, led by supervisor Raquel Cambronero Jiménez.

The three procedures open a 10-business-day window for technology, healthcare, and banking services providers, who must channel all participation through SICOP. For the BCR, the market studies are the preliminary step that defines the technical and economic conditions of future purchases; therefore, the responses received will directly influence the scope and design of the tenders called thereafter.
