Banco de Costa Rica abre estudio RFI para lavado de su flota oficial

The Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) is opening an RFI (Request for Information) study to contract automotive washing services for its fleet of official vehicles. The call is published in La Gaceta — Official Gazette No. 170 on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, page 72, under official reference IN202601125190.

The objective of the study is to gather pricing information for various washing services, as well as to develop a service price study and assess the quality criteria, installed capacity, and offer volume necessary to meet the on-demand needs of the bank’s vehicle fleet.

Object and Scope of the Study

The contractual object is the “request for information from automotive washing service providers,” so that they may provide pricing information for different washing services intended for official vehicles owned by the Banco de Costa Rica. The study will allow the bank to gauge the available market offer and define the conditions for a future contract.

The call is framed within the Tenders section of public procurement, with SICOP classification code 76111801 92178805.

Deadline and Submission Method

The Banco de Costa Rica will receive proposals electronically for the referenced study until 23:59:59, within a period of 10 business days starting from the same day the announcement is published.

Interested parties may request specifications and conditions, as well as submit inquiries, via the email of the responsible technician:

The request was submitted by Luis Gamboa Montes, from the bank’s Institutional Transport area, and is published only once.

Relevance for the Sector

The call opens a business opportunity for automotive washing and maintenance service providers in the country, who can participate in the market study prior to contracting. As this is an RFI, the bank seeks to understand the installed capacity and sector pricing before formalizing a tender to service its official fleet, anticipating a future public contract in the automotive sector.
