Badajoz rectifies the terms and conditions for the Electrician Officer position

The Badajoz City Council has approved the rectification of the rules for the call to fill, as a career civil servant and through the internal promotion competition-examination system, one position for Electrician Official. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 174, dated September 11, 2026, under the reference Announcement 3571/2026.

The correction comes after errors were noticed in the rules published in full in the BOP of Badajoz number 171, dated September 7, 2026. The rectification decree, signed by delegation of the mayor, orders the publication of the new wording under the terms established in the call’s own rules.

Errors corrected in the rules

The rectification affects two essential sections of the selection process: the object of the call and the participation requirements. In the First Rule, the initial text erroneously mentioned a position for “Electrician Official Supervisor,” when the called position is that of Electrician Official, classified in group C, subgroup C2, according to Legislative Royal Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the Revised Text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.

In the Third Rule, regarding the requirements, two key conditions for applicants are corrected:

• Origin group: group C, subgroup C2, is replaced by group AP as the immediately lower qualification group required for career civil servants of the City Council.
• Required qualification: “High School Diploma or Technician” is replaced by ESO Graduate (Compulsory Secondary Education) as the required qualification to participate.

Requirements that remain

The rest of the participation conditions remain unchanged. Applicants must be career civil servants of the Badajoz City Council with at least two years of active service in the corresponding professional classification group. They must also not suffer from any illness or limitation incompatible with the performance of the duties, and must not have been dismissed from the service of any public administration nor be disqualified from public employment.

In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, the requirement to possess the credential proving their homologation remains. The requirements must be met by the closing date for the submission of applications and maintained throughout the selection process until the assumption of office.

Signature and scope of the correction

The rectification decree is issued by virtue of the conferred powers and bears the signature, by delegation of the mayor (Decree of February 2, 2024, published in the BOP of Badajoz on February 8, 2024), of the Fourth Deputy Mayor, Eladio Buzo Corzo. The correction is decisive for applicants already registered or those planning to register, as it modifies both the required group of origin and the required qualification, conditions that directly affect admission to the selection process.
