Baños de Valdearados somete a información pública la tasa del yacimiento romano

The City Council of Baños de Valdearados has initially approved the fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for entry and visits to the Santa Cruz Roman site, located within the municipality of Baños de Valdearados (Burgos), and is submitting it for public consultation for thirty days. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 187, corresponding to Thursday, October 1, 2026, in section III. Local Administration, with the official reference BOPBUR-2026-04059. The initial approval agreement was adopted by the Plenary of the city council in the session of July 13, 2026.

The processing complies with the provisions of articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and article 56 of the consolidated text of the Local Regime. This is the ordinary procedure for the implementation of a municipal tax figure: first, the initial approval by the plenary body, then the public exhibition of the file, and finally, the elevation of the agreement to definitive status if no objections are presented.

Thirty days to examine the file and file objections

The public information period is thirty days and begins to count from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos, that is, starting from October 2, 2026. During this period, any interested party may examine the file at the municipal offices and formulate the allegations or claims they deem appropriate.

The file is also available to interested parties on the city council’s electronic office, accessible at the address https://bañosdevaldearados.sedelectronica.es/info.0. The announcement does not reproduce the articulated text of the ordinance nor does it detail the amount of the planned rates, therefore these points must be consulted in the file documentation.

Automatic definitive approval if there are no claims

The announcement specifies that, in the event that no claims are presented within the indicated period, the approval agreement of the ordinance will be understood as definitively approved, without the need for a new plenary pronouncement. The ordinance will enter into force according to the general regime applicable to local fiscal ordinances.

The document was signed in Baños de Valdearados on September 14, 2026, by the mayor, Mirian Esteban Gañán.

A procedure that adds to other ordinances from the same plenary

The plenary session of July 13, 2026, gave way to other municipal regulations from the same city council, which had already been completed in the previous weeks:

  • The fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of the municipal gym public service, made final as no claims were registered and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 182, dated September 24, 2026 (reference BOPBUR-2026-03949).
  • The ordinance regulating the loan and use service of electric bicycles and hangar, also made final and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 176, dated September 16, 2026 (reference BOPBUR-2026-03794).

In both cases, the procedure followed the same sequence that the site fee is now facing: initial approval, public exhibition without allegations, and full publication of the text.

The creation of an entry and visit fee for the Roman site of Santa Cruz provides legal and economic coverage for the tourist exploitation of an archaeological resource of the municipality. For residents and visitors, the announcement opens a month to learn the content of the ordinance and, if applicable, challenge the access conditions or rates before the regulation is finalized. Consulting the file on the municipal electronic office allows the procedure to be followed without traveling to the town hall offices.
