Azuqueca displays the census for the 2026 driveway tax

Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Azuqueca de Henares has approved and made public the tax roll for the vehicle entry fee via sidewalks (driveways) for the 2026 fiscal year, by means of a Mayoral Resolution dated August 3, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 159, dated August 20, 2026, and affects all driveway holders in the municipality.

The public exhibition, which serves simultaneously as collective notification and a public information process, is held at the Revenue and Tax Collection Section of the City Council and on the municipal notice board for a period of fifteen business days, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the official gazette.

Voluntary Payment Period

The collection of the tax will take place during the voluntary period between September 7 and November 9, 2026. Taxpayers may pay the tax at the offices of collaborating financial entities throughout the national territory, at citizen ATMs, via the virtual taxpayer office (OVC), or through the payment gateway on the municipal website.

  • To make the payment, it is essential to have a payment letter.
  • A duplicate can be obtained through the OVC or in person at the Citizen Service Center (SAC).
  • Collaborating entities may not impose restrictions on days or hours for the collection of municipal taxes.
  • More information is available on the website www.azuqueca.es.

Surcharges and Direct Debit

The City Council reminds taxpayers of the convenience of setting up a direct debit for tax payments to avoid delays and possible surcharges. Once the voluntary payment period has expired, debts will be demanded through the enforcement procedure, with surcharges of up to 20%.

Appeals

Interested parties may submit observations, allegations, or claims during the public exhibition. The following appeals may be filed against the tax roll:

  • Appeal for reversal (Recurso de reposición) before the Mayor, within one month from the day following the end of the public exhibition, in accordance with Article 14 of the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5).
  • Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Guadalajara, within two months from the express dismissal of the appeal for reversal, or six months in the case of presumed dismissal due to administrative silence.

The announcement is signed by the mayor, Miguel Óscar Aparicio de Lucas, in Azuqueca de Henares, on August 4, 2026.

The publication of this register serves as a direct notice to the holders of driveway access permits (vados) in the municipality, who must regularize their situation within the voluntary period to avoid late payment surcharges. The public exhibition also provides the opportunity to review the register’s data and submit objections before the collection becomes effective.
