Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Azuqueca de Henares has announced grants for a maximum amount of 21,000 euros to finance health promotion projects aimed at people with chronic diseases in the municipality and their family members during the 2026 fiscal year. The call and its specific guidelines were approved by mayoral resolution on October 9, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) No. 196, of October 14, 2026, with the identifier BDNS: 934675.
Regulatory bases and granting regime
The call stems from the regulatory bases published in BOP No. 229, of November 28, 2025, under the title “Final approval of the Regulatory Bases for the grant for actions carried out for health promotion, as well as in favor of patients with chronic diseases and their family members.”
The granting process is handled under a competitive bidding regime, in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies. The full text of the call can be consulted in the National Grants Database.
The credit is charged to budget item 3110.489.08 of the 2026 municipal budget and is divided into three modalities:
- Modality 1: 18,000 euros.
- Modality 2: 2,000 euros.
- Modality 3: 1,000 euros.
The grants will be awarded, within the available credit, to the projects with the highest valuation in their modality according to the criteria of article 9 of the bases. The call warns that part or all of the credit may remain unallocated if the quality of the projects is not adequate or does not align with the planned lines of action.
Requirements for applicant entities
Non-profit entities with their own legal personality, legally constituted before the approval of the call, that develop health promotion and support programs for family members of people with multiple sclerosis in the municipality, may be beneficiaries. The following is required:
- That the final recipients be residents of Azuqueca de Henares and that the activity takes place within the municipal boundaries.
- To be up to date with the fulfillment of obligations for grants previously received from the City Council, as well as any possible repayments.
- To be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
- To be up to date with tax or other payments to the City Council of Azuqueca de Henares.
- Not to incur the prohibitions of article 13 of Law 38/2003 to obtain beneficiary status.
Each applicant may only submit one application and opt for a single modality.
Ten calendar day deadline and electronic submission
Applications and the remaining documentation must be submitted within ten calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the BOP, a period that ends on October 24, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be admitted for processing.
Submission shall be carried out electronically and with an electronic signature through the General Registry of the City Council of Azuqueca de Henares, without prejudice to the other registries provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. If the application does not meet the requirements or is not accompanied by the mandatory documents, its correction will be requested within ten days; otherwise, it will be considered withdrawn, in accordance with Article 68 of Law 39/2015 and Article 23.5 of Law 38/2003.
Required Documentation
Along with the application, signed by the president of the entity or by whoever has accredited delegation, the following must be provided:
- Certificate from the secretary accrediting the agreement of the governing body to apply for the grant and the designation of the representative.
- Photocopy of the tax identification card, the bylaws, and the NIF of the designated representative.
- Certificate accrediting the number of members up to date with membership fee payments.
- Third-party form with the IBAN number and the name of the association as the holder.
- Project of proposed activities.
- Responsible declaration of not being subject to the prohibitions to be a beneficiary entity.
- Certificate of being up to date with payments to the Social Security and the Tax Agency.
- List of activities or projects with the same objective developed in Azuqueca de Henares, including their dates of celebration.
The full guidelines, with the application model as an annex, are available on the transparency portal of the municipal electronic office. The document appears signed by the mayor, Mr. Miguel Óscar Aparicio de Lucas.
The call opens a direct financing route for the local associative fabric that works with chronic patients and their families, a field in which entities depend largely on public contributions to sustain their annual programs. The distribution by modalities and the highest valuation criterion force associations to precisely adjust their projects to the purpose of the guidelines before the deadline closes.
