The City Council of Azuqueca de Henares has opened the 2026 call for grants intended for collaboration with pedagogical groups aimed at the research, recovery, and dissemination of historical-educational heritage, with a budget of 3,000 euros. The call and its specific guidelines were approved by mayoral resolution on September 29, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) No. 188, dated October 2, 2026, with the identifier BDNS: 932332.

The publication is carried out in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text of the call can be consulted in the National Grants Database. The call is based on the regulatory guidelines definitively approved and published in BOP No. 229, dated November 28, 2025, under the title of approval of the guidelines intended for collaboration with pedagogical groups for the research, recovery, and dissemination of historical-educational heritage.

The declared purpose is to support, disseminate, and promote the city’s cultural fabric, encourage the professionalism of the agents involved, and consolidate support models for cultural creation, collaborating with educational associations on projects of interest to the educational community and their development in school centers. The grant is processed under a competitive bidding regime.

Submission shall be electronic, in accordance with article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The deadline for submitting applications and documentation is 10 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the call and its summary in the BOP of Guadalajara, therefore extending until October 12, 2026. The full guidelines, including the application annex, are available on the transparency portal of the municipal electronic office. The document appears signed by the mayor, Mr. Miguel Óscar Aparicio de Lucas, in Azuqueca de Henares on September 30, 2026.

Impact on the associative fabric

The call opens a specific funding channel for museum associations linked to historical educational centers in Azuqueca de Henares, a group that until now had to compete in general cultural calls. With an allocation of only 3,000 euros and a deadline of ten calendar days, the margin for action is narrow; therefore, interested entities must have the documentation and the project of activities prepared before the deadline expires. Furthermore, the measure consolidates municipal support for the recovery and dissemination of historical-educational heritage as its own line within the 2026 budget.
