Azuqueca abre 30.000 euros para modernizar comercio y hostelería

The City Council of Azuqueca de Henares has opened the call for grants for the modernization, innovation, and competitiveness of local trade and hospitality, with a budget of 30,000 euros. The call, approved by mayoral resolution on September 4, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 173, dated September 10, 2026, with reference number BDNS 928097.

The aid is intended to finance projects that promote and energize the city’s local trade, within the framework of contributing to the modernization, innovation, and competitiveness of the sector. The announcement is published in compliance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database.

Purpose and Regulatory Framework

The call stems from the regulatory bases published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 230, dated December 1, 2025, under the title Regulatory bases for the granting of aid and subsidies destined for the modernization, innovation, and competitiveness of local trade and hospitality in Azuqueca de Henares.

The maximum amount of this call amounts to 30,000 euros, chargeable to the budget item 4312.489.01 for the 2026 fiscal year of the City Council.

Eligible Lines of Action

Within the framework of the regulatory bases, the following lines of action are established:

  • Networking meetings, which include continuous training sessions.
  • “Looking for Keka in Azuqueca” and “Christmas in the Street” campaigns.
  • Promotional campaigns for trade and hospitality.

Beneficiaries and Submission of Applications

Eligible beneficiaries may be non-profit associations and/or federations of local merchants, with their own legal personality and legally constituted prior to the date of approval of the call, provided they can develop programs, projects, or actions in the field of local trade and meet the requirements of article 5 of the regulatory bases.

Applications, together with the documentation from article 6 of the bases, shall be submitted electronically with an electronic signature using the standardized form in Annex I, through the General Registry of the City Council, or in the other registries provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. The application shall be accompanied by the responsible declaration in Annex II.

The submission period is ten days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province. The complete bases, with the application as an annex, are available on the transparency portal of the City Council’s electronic office.

The call, signed on September 7, 2026, by the mayor, Mr. Miguel Óscar Aparicio de Lucas, represents a direct boost to the commercial and hospitality sector of Azuqueca de Henares, which will be able to access public funding to renew its offering and gain competitiveness against large retail stores and digital commerce.
