Seville City Council opens subsidies for businesses affected by construction works

The Seville City Council has opened a call for subsidies aimed at supporting, maintaining and reactivating commercial and service establishments affected by public works in the area of Pagés del Corro street, between República Argentina avenue and San Jacinto street. The city’s Governing Board approved the agreement on 31 July 2026, and its extract is published today in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville, No. 159, of 18 August 2026, with extract number 219233 and reference BOP-SE-2026-159015.

The call, registered in the National Database of Subsidies with identifier 925059, is legally based on Articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Law on Subsidies, and on the General Ordinance approving the regulatory bases for subsidies granted by the Seville City Council under competitive bidding, of 16 June 2005, published in the BOP of 14 July 2005.

Requirements for beneficiaries

The subsidies are aimed at companies that carry out their economic activity in establishments directly affected by the works in the delimited area. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be defined as micro-enterprises in accordance with Annex I of Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014: employ fewer than 10 people and have an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total not exceeding 2 million euros.
• Be constituted as a natural person (self-employed business owner), civil partnership, community of property, commercial company, labour company or cooperative.
• Be the legal owner or tenant of an establishment located in the area of direct impact, on the ground floor and at street level, open to the public continuously for at least one month before the start of the impact dates established for each zone.
• Hold the corresponding municipal authorisations and licences for carrying out the activity they perform.

Exclusions and limitations

The call expressly establishes that the following types of activities may not, under any circumstances, obtain beneficiary status:

• Companies sharing the same affected establishment, even when they carry out different business or professional activities.
• Banking entities.
• Hotel establishments and holiday accommodation.
• Companies supplying essential services (water, gas, electricity and telephony).
• Construction companies or real estate developers.
• Healthcare service centres.
• Professional offices, insurance companies, consultancy and management firms and similar services.

Amount and application deadline

The total budget allocated to this call amounts to €78,000, with a maximum aid amount per beneficiary set according to the zones defined in section 2 of the call. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days from the day following the publication of the extract in the BOP, i.e., from August 19, 2026.

The justification of the aid is carried out prior to the granting of the subsidy, by submitting the documentation required in section 9.1 of the full text of the call, which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database.

Signature and scope of the intervention

The agreement was signed in Seville on August 13, 2026, by Álvaro Jesús Pimentel Siles, Deputy Mayor Delegate for the Area of Cartuja, Innovative Parks, Mobility, Economy and Trade. The call frames a measure to support neighborhood commerce in the context of public works that directly affect the economic activity of the area, seeking to contribute to the recovery, restructuring and revitalization of businesses established on Calle Pagés del Corro and its immediate surroundings.
