Alfaro City Council presents the general account of the 2025 budget

The general account of the 2025 budget opens to citizen claims

The Alfaro City Council has published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja the public disclosure of the General Account of the 2025 Budget, opening a period of fifteen calendar days for interested parties to submit claims, objections or observations on the economic management of the municipality corresponding to the last closed fiscal year.

The announcement appeared on Monday, August 17, 2026, in issue 156 of the regional gazette, with the official reference BOR-A-20260817-III–3220, within the section «III. Other Provisions and Acts», on page 14,405.

Legal basis and procedure

The measure complies with Article 212 of the Consolidated Text of the Law Regulating Local Finances, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004 of March 5. This regulation requires municipalities to submit the general account of the previous fiscal year to a period of public information, once it has been reported on by the Special Committee on Accounts, the municipal body responsible for financial control.

Who can intervene and how

During the public information period, any person who considers themselves interested is entitled to examine the general account and submit the claims, objections or observations they deem appropriate. Local finance regulations contemplate this phase as a guarantee of transparency and citizen control over the economic management of local entities.

Once the period has concluded, the city council must assess the observations received and proceed with the final approval of the general account, which will be submitted to the competent external control body.

Action signed by the mayor

The announcement is dated in Alfaro on August 13, 2026, and is signed by the Mayor-President, María Yolanda Preciado Moreno, who orders the publication of the agreement in the official gazette. The general account is the accounting document that summarizes the state of income and expenditure of the municipality during the year 2025, including the settlement of the approved budget.
