Beneficiaries and requirements

Beneficiaries may be the parents, guardians, or legal representatives of students registered as residents (empadronados) in the municipality of Albacete for a minimum of six months, who are attending or will attend the second cycle of early childhood education, primary education, or special education in educational centers supported by public funds within the municipality during the 2026/2027 school year.

  • Students born between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2023.
  • Enrolled in educational centers supported by public funds in Albacete.

  • Early childhood education (2nd cycle): maximum amount of €120.
  • Primary education: maximum amount of €80.

The sole award criterion is the per capita income of the family unit, with preference given to lower incomes over higher ones, until the budget allocation is exhausted.

Deadline and regulatory bases

The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days, counted from the business day following the publication of the extract in the BOP of Albacete. The general regulatory bases were approved by agreement of the Local Government Board dated August 6, 2026, and published in the BOP of Albacete no. 96, dated August 19, 2026.

Impact

The call for applications, with a budget of €140,000, affects thousands of households in Albacete with school-age children, in a context of rising prices for school supplies. The preference for lower incomes ensures that the aid reaches families with the greatest need as a priority, and the deadline of 15 business days requires interested parties to submit their application promptly following the official publication.
